Garrett's Brewing Company reviews
11Awesome place. Great hospitality! Fantastic food! Reasonable prices with an outdoor area. Will definitely revisit!
Beers were really good, only had 2 though. One of the best pils I've had in awhile. Single malt/hop pale ale very good too. Really enjoyed the food! Tasty brisket burrito. Gotta get there more often!
Great selection of drinks (beer, hard cider, and wine). Extremely friendly staff and customers. Great vibe! Highly recommend.
Did we spend two hours here on a Wednesday afternoon drinking with the owner? Yes. Was it awesome? Yes. Would I do if again? Yes.
None of the beers were “best I’ve ever had” but each was tasty and true. Lots of low ABV options so you can have “a couple” then safely enjoy the rest your day. Bar tender was knowledgeable.
Very friendly and welcoming staff, wonderful setting, and best of all, delicious food! Tried the special fish taco, the barbacoa, chicken tinga, and veggie tacos. They were unreal!
The bar is wonderfully set up, with comfortable seating. A nice selection of beers and flights to boot.
A must visit if you are in town, I know I will be dropping in next time I'm in the area!
Great beer and the food was, as slways, great! The shrimp tacis and Mc and cheese falls fried, delicious.
Enjoyed our beers, a Stout and Juicy IPA. The Stout was probably the best one I've had in a long time. The addition of Mexican style food has really turned Garrett's into a place to go. Tacos were great, actually tasty and hot. Great crowd too.
Great vibe at this local spot! The beer is excellent and the food coming from the new kitchen is on point…. It’s a top shelf microbrew with an outstanding chef! The staff are all friendly and when they have live music the place is electric.
I was surprised to see the kitchen has a tip jar; the kitchen staff doesn’t share in the tip I left at the bar on my bank card. So if you like the food consider tipping the bartender AND the kitchen! Those folks in the kitchen work hard and they are truly producing excellent cuisine (the salsas are as good as I’ve had in the Southwest USA and Mexico! This kitchen can cook).
They’re serving some Mexican bar food along with their beer now. Weird Panera style ordering setup, but strangely not obvious when you walk in. Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas, etc. But waited over an hour for the food on a Wednesday evening and when I asked the owner about it, his response was “they’re slammed tonight”. Wednesday evening, Hmmm. Food was good once our Panera beeper beeped. So, still a decent but occasionally unfriendly place for pretty good beer, but food is definitely a “work in progress” and you pay and tip up front. Big disconnect between marketing and reality here IMO.
Always a great place for a libations. Now a great place for food, ate there last night I recommend it. And I can’t not mention the music when they have a band it rocks.
Beers were average to good. Bartender loved the f bomb. I mean really loved it. Felt like I was in some dive bar in old Jersey City. We were not even sitting at the bar. Back to the beers. Potential was there. Don't know how long Garrett's has been here but I think if they dial in a little more depth and breadth of flavor. Maybe send the server to etiquette class.
