Gastronom / A&R International Food Delicatessen reviews
22 As always, I had a very good experience.
In each department stuff is willing to help you right away. Owners are very professional towards their customers, they always open to any suggestion or request and to make your shopping experience more pleasant, they give you a gift as soon as they see that you're spending $40 +
I like this store for its variety of East European and Middle East food selection.
The store has expanded since my last visit there. Now they have a separate island of fully cooked buffet dishes priced at $6.99 per pound. Something new. The staff is friendly.
Nice and organized place lots of selections of international foods and dry fuits. The only problem is utensils are being utelized by everyone and then place it back on the platters. Not sanitary at all. The owners are very friendly always come up to customers and ask if anyone needs any help. Also, food is fresh because it always sells and they replenish with fresh items.fully renovated
Personal is very friendly and helpful
You could fine anything what you need
for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
If you like big selection of cheese, honey, teas, food from Europe with dicent prices it's the place. Nice people.
Good selection of russian and european food, could be crowdes with long lines to the cashiers/service could be slow, the service at the cold cuts/cheeses could be slow as well, great selection of fish and milk products/canned food, good selection of nuts and sweets, could be challenging to find parking at busy weekend times.
I asked to give me a loaf of grey bread, but was given a black bread by Uzbek or tadjic sellers. They don't speak and understand Russian well. I think English don't know as well. NeverN gogo this store. Highly don't recommend.
Probably the best Russian grocery store in Queens. Gastronom is no Cherry Hill (Brooklyn), but it's still pretty. The service is always excellent and helpful, and they have a pretty good selection of both deli items and Russian / Uzbek foods. Oh, and a fantastic selection of Russian style candies and desserts too. It's always a pleasure coming here even after so many years.
Saves a trip to Brooklyn. They have it all there and workers are fast and pleasant. Try the goat cheese. I'm hooked and no1 else has it. 3 different wheels of goat cheese? Now that's variety
Love this place! Huge variety of cold cuts and cheese, very clean. The store has some very unique European specialty items.
Absolutely love this place. I always come here for my round bread and to pick up some deli cold cuts
Best ever!
You don't have to be Russian to love this place. I'm German. Any European should check it out. Hands down best in Queens.
I'd buy wheels of that goat cheese. 3 kinds, all amazing. Hard salami, hams, bologna to die for etc etc etc
Okay. I must say they sell old products. Be careful when you buy something. I brought salami from them today and I didn't realize that the salami was old. The guy that worked there cut it next to me. But what I don't understand is why sell me an old product?
Most of the food is pretty good, although I have had better, especially the prepared foods like stuffed cabbage. The service is slow. Could be friendlier.
A nice largeish shop on 108th st with a pretty large selection of deli and takeout. Not so much produce or anything else but a lot of prepared foods. All russian.
Mega store catering to the eastern European community, including many food items from Russia, Bulgaria, Romania, etc.friendly staff.
Great store! I am from Uzbekistan and there are all for my needs. Very nice employees with good attitude. Anytime on the counter they present you something, like bar of chocolate, tomatoes or something else.
Good selection with decent prices. The cashiers could be a little bit friendlier. They seem to always be having talking to each other and not focusing on the customer.
Nice store selling Russian and Russian Jewish products, a little on the pricey side. If you want good quality you have to expect to pay a little bit more
