Gateway Counseling Center, Bronx NY

Gateway operates a Filthy facility located under the subway rail yards and in an isolated & dangerous part of the Bronx. I was referred here for my son which I now thoroughly regret. My first impression was that the building looks like a small prison. Upon entering it, I realized that my initial impression was correct. I observed The staff behaving like prison wardens to their clients - rude, forceful and verbally abusive. These habilitation specialists were assigned too many patients to care for. I don’t blame them, but the management of this run-down facility. I sincerely hope NYS audits this place. The Developmentally challenged deserved proper care and attention which gateway fails to offer!
