They tried to sell me a new cabin air filter. They took the time to take it out to show me the dead pine needles on top of it. I declined a new filter as I do those myself. A simple turning the filter upside down would of gotten rid of all the dead pine needles that were “laying on top” however the air filter was carefully inserted back in with all the leaves on top in place. This was noticed when I checked the air filter when I arrived home.

I am a new customer and was extremely happy to have found them!
Gene took time with me giving me a complete evaluation and estimate on work needing to be done. He was patient and answered all my questions. He was knowledgeable and professional. It was such a positive experience.
The shop was clean and organized as was the waiting room.
The staff were all top notch. I left completely satisfied knowing they stand by their work with a honest and professional work ethic.
I am happily recommending this business as I will definately use them in the future.

Gene and his staff are excellent. They are very straight forward with whatever they are doing whether it is a simple or, a complicated fix. A little pricey but it's worth it

Best shop on Long Island. Gene's is the most trustworthy and reliable place I've ever brought a car to. Thanks Gene.

Excellent service and very accommodating. I got a ticket for expired inspection sticker on the way to work (I live in Queens), I needed that taken care of ASAP but I couldn't stay and wait for it to be done. They drove me 6 minutes down the road to my store (Sleepworks, shameless plug). The best of all, was how easy it was to pay online and pick up my car after they closed. This is where your car will truly be looked after.

On Monday January 16, I brought my 2007 Toyota Prius for inspection, and I had an engine light on. They were able to diagnose the Oxygen 2 sensor which it was failing. I have noticed the car was using more gas than it should. I usually get 40 to 45 MPG and then I got 25-30 mpg. That milage rate was very poor for a hybrid vehicle. Also, I had the ABS, VCS and red brake lights were on due to the hydraulic failure especially the rear brakes.

After the repairment, the brake lights are off and so the engine light. The car feels much better when braking. The only disappointment I have is the gas milage which the car still uses more fuel. >>>Maybe<<< there is a slight improvement which I get about 30 MPG. The Oxygen sensor was replaced but then I'm not sure if there is any real improvement at all.

The serpentine belt was replaced. In 2011 when the car had 100,000 miles, I was told by one mechanic that the belt needs to be changed and it will snap anytime. 12 years and 250,000 miles later, I still had the same belt but I feel better that at least now I replaced with a new one.

Some tire nuts and studs were changed which I thought it wasn't necessary. But I let that go.

I understand the car is almost 16 years old and now it has 351,000 miles. The car might not run as efficiency as it should when it was much newer. But it runs very good despite of the gas mileage. The car feels it will last a lot longer and I kept it well all these years. I hope maybe some adjustments can be made with the air and fuel mixture to improve better fuel economy.

I have consistently been nothing less then confident in Genes shop and impressed by his crew’s work ethic and quality of output. I started bringing my Truck to Gene in 2019 when “Rohr auto werkes”shut their doors. I only wish I had always been bringing my vehicle to Genes shop.

I really appreciate The Technet system Gene and his crew use, it’s great to be able to see what the mechanic is seeing through the pictures posted. Helps to understand what needs to happen with my vehicle and why.

Their ability to communicate with the customer is above par. Nothing happens to the vehicle without your knowing.
I’ve been to mechanics before that do the “bait and switch”
(Go in for an oil change, and come out with a 1200$ bill for repairs). So it’s no understatement that investing your time and money in this shop is worth your time.

An honest business, with impressive quality, run by honest people.

Gene’s came through as they always do with my 2008 Honda Civic making it run as smooth and last as long as possible! He and everyone on his team are knowledgeable, efficient, respectful, and go out of their way for their customers!
I trust Gene. You can too. He won’t steer you wrong! Pun intended!
