Gerbasi, Bronx NY

We had a delicious lunch here, while visiting Arthur Avenue. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. They have a lovely garden seating area in the back. I had a Gorgonzola and pear pizza. It was awesome!

Food wasn't spectacular, but service and atmosphere were pretty good. Clams weren't as good as advertised.

Great meal! Thank you George team for the delicious food and wonderful service. We'll be back!

Had a great time, always listen to your waiter, had the most delicious lobsters ravioli, and their homemade limoncello is the perfect digestive after drink. 10/10

This place is great. All the pasta is homemade and the sauce is delicious. The service is friendly and perfect. We lingered over a bottle of Prosecco after lunch and the bill was a pleasant surprise. I had the chicken portafolio and it melted in my mouth. This is my favorite place on Arthur Ave so far.

All of our food was delicious. I had the veal bracciole, which was outstanding. The waiter explained the ingredients of all of the dishes and was very attentive. The owner even checked that we were satisfied.

I’m a fan of Italian cuisine and this place is just a small piece of Italy in the Bronx. The food is really tasty, their signature coffee is fantastic and 5+ star service. George was our waiter and he gave us the best service. Really nice person to talk to. My boyfriend and I loved this restaurant and are definitely coming back.

On vacation from New Orleans, Visiting Arthur Ave for the first time. Stoped at Gerbasi’s for dinner. Wonderful experience! Amazing food, friendly staff and an exciting menu. George was our Waiter. We LOVE George! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I will be back next time I’m in town.

Our experience here was satisfactory. The atmosphere and service was great. This restaurant is small but cute. Our only problem was that we felt you didn’t get what you paid for. The portions were small, and the Chicken Scarpariello didn’t even come with pasta, and none of the Entrees came with a side.

Never eat here. The owner is the worst. We had a large group and when they could not seat us on time we lost a few people. He would not adjust the bill. He also initially charged way more than the agreed amount. We asked to at least take home the meals we paid for and he also refused. Never eat here. Just not how you do business. So many better options on Arthur Ave.

A good Italian restaurant deserves a good review, they even threw in a complimentary bottle of red wine fantastic meal, great service.

Loved the early dinner at Gerbasi. The staff is super friendly. The food is delicious. They clearly put a lot if effort in designing specials. Back open patio is an added bonus.

The hostess (sofie?) was so friendly and the food was fantastic, best place we’ve tried on Arthur Ave. We had the clams oreganata for an appetizer and they were to die for, major compliments to the chef!

(1) Some menu items available only certain days and one doesn't know which until seated.
(2) Stuffed chicken had unknown and undesirable ingredient.

It probably used to be nice. They have a yard in back where you can eat.
Bolognese sauce was good. Pizza may as well have been from a box at the supermarket. Backyard was very run down - metal lanterns that just need some glue or screws hanging down. Strangely out of place orange chairs and poor paint choices added to the poor decor. Service was good.
