5Lived in their apartments on walnut street apartments for about 2 months and woke up one morning with bites all over me… checked my bedding and found bed bugs they were also in the hallway to enter the apartment … told the owner and they claimed they were not there when I had moved in but my and my boyfriend know for a fact we did not have them before we moved in… if your looking to move in their apartments I warn you DO NOT
The staff is absolutely wonderful and kind. They usually complete maintenance issues within one day of filing it. The apartment buildings themselves have little to no issues. The only reason I moved out was because other tenants around me brought in issues at the Cherrywood manor location, but I know there is nothing GHC and staff could have done to prevent them. However, they did address those issues as soon as they could every single time. I hope to rent from them again as there was just not any other availabilities that fit my need when I needed to move out!
GHC are wonderful landlords; Their staff go above and beyond most.
Maintenance are great understanding your needs. The women in the office always listen. With a husband that was disabled, they always took good care of us. I have owned my homes and a three bedroom house on the lake. Now as a widow, i would never go anywhere but with these people. You who complained maybe you were the problem? Yes, it is alot of money for rent, however you get what you pay for. Bless them all. Joyce M Pickel.
Very nice place could use some more washing machines and dryers of higher quality
It took me 1.5 years of bouncing between slumlords to find a good rental property in Elmira. This is it. I've lived here and in the other GHC community Cherrywood Manor on the south side. Never had a maintenance issue. They do an impeccable job cleaning between tenants. Rent is very competitive considering all utilities and internet are included. 6-month lease followed by 30-day notice month-to-month (doesn't even have to be at the end of a month!) offers flexibility you won't find anywhere else in the area. These aren't luxury apartments but for what I'm (not) paying, I'll take clean, safe, quiet, and hassle-free.
