Ginger and Lemongrass reviews
15OMG! I was really shocked. They even gave us food left over from other guests. I saw that this lemon was used, but I haven't used it yet.so i took pictures. I thought at first, hmm. It doesn't matter. But they didn't even say sorry. Just gave us another plate, put it down, turned around and left. I've been here many times and it's good, but maybe the food is not good. Maybe in the future I'll worry if my food is someone else's food.
This place is amazing- been going here since their first hole in the wall shop opened. So flavorful and consistent.
Update:
You HAVE to try their spicy coconut lemongrass soup. I get it with chicken and it's the best soup especially on a cold day.but really it's delicious any time you visit! Make sure you save room for their Ube Cheesecake!
My favorite Vietnamese restaurant since my last one favorite disappeared. Their pho is delicious and the rice vermicelli bowl is flavorful and fresh!
My wife and I had our first date here and just keep coming back because the food is consistently good. I just had wings and a mixed pho and she had the spicy lemongrass soup. The drink menu has an amazing selection I had never tried b4. The butterfly pea tea became a staple in my house shortly after having it here for the first time. Also the taro latte is really good and ube cheesecake.
We come here for the Pho. It's consistent. It has nice decor. The water with lime, cucumber, ginger has a nice touch. Service needs an upgrade. Not enough staff.
Best coconut lemongrass soup love the favors! On the cold and rainy days the best soup and spot to warm you up!
I love this place so much i had the spicy coconut lemongrass soup with shrimp and bone marrow also had pork belly buns for a appetizer everything was fresh and delicious.
I don’t know how they got so much good reviews.
I would of give no star if available.
Don’t waste your precious time and hard earned money in this restaurant.
I have been eating Vietnamese food for over 30 years. And this is absolutely the worst and worst experience.
We waited one hour for our food to come on Friday night, which they only have approximately 6 tables.
My friend ordered chicken curry with white rice. The chicken is so so so over cooked, you feel like chewing rubberband, and the curry sauce is tasteless.
I ordered pho noodle soup. The noodle is melting (way over cooked) in the greasy and tasteless soup.
I had grilled shrimp with vermicelli, good choice if one wants to eat light, I must say it was nicely done. The spring rolls (with chicken and shrimp) was near perfect, so were the wings, will return for sure.
Cozy place with good service. We got the beef pho which was good but had too much flavor from the greens, it’s intense and overwhelming to finish the dish. Beef quality is okay. We added bok choy and mushrooms for additional $2. And didn’t see the mushrooms in the soup lol. We enjoyed summer rolls. Overall “okay” experience.
Expensive for a small bowl of pho with pull pork smh, only thing I liked was spring roll. Summer roll isn’t good because they put too much pickled vegetables which over power the roll.
Do not recommend.
Go to a authentic pho place for a big hearty bowl of heaven!
We got the spicy coconut curry and a cod sandwich. The curry was amazing. I love the decor and the infused water and the service is really friendly.
We loved the delightfully refreshing drinks (the name of which we can't remember). Everything we ate was superb and some of the best we've eaten. Can't go wrong with the fried spring rolls, yellow curry, and brisket bahn mi.
Recommended by someone. Walked in and see military service men enjoying. And another family just ordered food. I sat alone nearly 10min without a single service. Left with empty stomach. Poor impression. No second chance for me.
Summary: Yummy Thai/Vietnamese cuisine with all the traditional favorites! Lunch special Monday through Thursday is worth it! Appetizer, entree, and drink for $12! Other full size menu options looked yummy too!
My mother and I went during the week for lunch and ordered their lunch special for $12 each. My mother ordered their shrimp spring roll, beef pho, and a Thai coffee. I ordered their Thai mint salad, pork belly banh mi, and a Thai ice tea. Everything tasted great and for the price, it was totally worth it!
They take credit cards. Street parking only. Service speed was pretty quick for the busy lunch hour.
