Extremely noisy. Hard to study or focus. And one hour per visit? That’s definitely NOT enough time for students.
On 8/5/2020, whole Glen Cove has no power due to hurricane and the library closed. I have some urgent business that I need to get inside of the library and I met library worker, Chris, at front door. Although I couldn't get in, he still run back and forth to help me and eventually I got what I want.

I recently stopped into the Glen Cove Library while I was in town visiting my family. I am a former resident of nearly 60 years. I spent a lot of time at the library when I lived in town. My last visit was shocking to say the least. I could not believe all of the homeless people who were taking up all the tables and chairs, there was barely any room for anyone to sit and read. Not only were they taking up space, but there was also an unbearable odor and a sense of feeling unsafe. It seems like the library should be renamed the Glen Cove Homeless Shelter. I was told by another person sitting near me that this is an ongoing issue. I cannot believe the director would favor the homeless over the good tax paying residents of Glen Cove. Shame on you, this library was once a wonderful place. What a disgrace.
