I Was A Student For This Center For A Good 2 Weeks Until I Got Kicked Out For Having An Altercation With Another Student I Do Not Recommend Going To This School It’s So Ghetto And The Food Is Bad They Also Racist No Wonder Why Some People Leave On The First Day The Center Is In Terrible Shape And The bathrooms Are Always Dirty It’s Not Clean At All, Some Staff Are Caring About They Student. The Supervisor And The Director Are Completely Unfair People And The Security Staff Don’t Know What They’re Doing, All The Traits Are Full They Gonna Put You In A Trait That You Don’t Wanna Do Or Didn’t Come for Very Terrible If I had The option To Leave A 0 Star I Would

I went to here and everyone kept saying it’s a good place to get an education and a trained job, I mean the education was good but there were times when you would get two different teachers they would show to different ways of teaching and you have your class doing two different ways of doing work and the teachers they are nice but they can act like your parents but most of all I didn’t exactly like was the (code 6) was shooter on campus or someone having a seizure I’ve lived on the campus for 10 months and I’ve seen things that were messed up, half of the staff threatening the male students some of the conversation that a young staff would say to the male students, I don’t recommend anyone going to that campus I have on my experience …and if you come to the campus under the influence of drugs you have to stay on campus for 90days and doing work outs to sweat it out…over 7 kids had drugs in there system…

I don’t recommend this place to nobody terrible experience there’s a lot of unprofessional staff there and lots of drama with the students. You gotta have some pretty thick skin being there and trips to the mental hospital ain’t uncommon over there. Good luck to anyone who’s interested in that crazy place 9/10 u won’t get far.

The job of Academic Supervisor is sold to future employees as a position where one would be working closely with students and teachers. You spend more time in meetings and reviewing data then you do working with those two populations. You will do way more then your job duties daily. Leaving you in a position to stay late on many nights. The training for this position is poor and it’s a learn as you go in a fast moving environment.
Students are tough but fun to talk with when you have the time. Teachers are great but very over worked.
Money is good but it’s an exhausting place.

As a parent you can't go in the facility to see where your child is staying. They hype this place up but there's currently no driving instructor and there hasn't been for six months. There's no HVAC instructor, my son's counselor left. They have now decided, after he's been there for six months and his class has graduated, that you have to be 19 to do the GED program. So my son is sitting there in a classroom doing nothing with the other 18 year olds. No one will speak to you or call you back, they hang up on you or put you on hold and don't come back on the line if you call to see what's happening with your child. I've left messages for counselors, the academic director and the school director and have gotten no response whatsoever. Do not send your. Hold to this facial ty. They're showing current students the names of students who have left and are telling the kids they are now homeless because they left the program. There's theft, vandalism and fighting here constantly and it's not safe there at all. Most of the staff are teenagers.

-* My Time Here Was Horrible I’m So Happy I Left It’s Just Not A Good Environment It’ll Drain You And Stress You Out. The Staffs Talk About One Another And Talk About Students As Well, Attending This Program I Couldn’t Tell Apart Who Was Staff Because The Immaturity Is Outrageous, I Literally Didn’t Gain Anything From This Program But A Headache. When You First Apply For The Program They Try To Make It Look Good And Tell You All The Benefits You Can Gain From Attending This Program But They Don't Tell You How Some Of The Staffs Treat The Students And Don’t Get Me Wrong In Life Your Going To Go Through Some Obstacles So You Shouldn’t Give Up Easily But Most Of The Staffs Don’t Deserve To Work There At All, Me Personally I Can’t Be Around A Negative Environment Or Amongst Those Who Won’t Lift You Up But Just Bring You Down And Doubt Your Success, Leaving This Program Won’t Stop And Can’t Stop My Path To Success. They’ll Tell You All The Things You Want To Hear To Make You Feel Good And Feel Like You Have Someone In Your Corner But Their Not Really There For Their Students Nor Do They Care. I Had Two Counselors Who Barely Communicated With Me But Talked About Me To Others About My Attendance But Not For Once Tried To See How They Can Help Knowing I Lived Very Far Even Though I Won’t Use That As An Excuse I Just Feel Like As A “Counselor” You Should Communicate And Be There For Your Students. The Communication In This Program Is Horrible, They’re So Unorganized And Unprofessional. I Remember Telling One Of My Counselors I Needed To Stay Home Because A Friend Of Mine Results Came Back Positive For Covid And I Wasn’t Feeling Well So Because I Was Not Vaccinated I Felt Like I Should’ve Stayed Home Until I Felt Better Atleast But They Didn’t Care About My Well Being They Literally Gave Me 4 Or 5 UA Days For Being Out Sick Which I Felt Was Ridiculous. This Program Needs To Go Under Investigation And No I Don’t Mean Coming Through The Doors In A Suit And Tie Because When They Know There’s Visitors They’re Definitely Some Great Actors When It Comes Down To It. For The Amount Of BS That Goes On In Here I Wouldn’t Be Surprised If This Place Gets Shut Down. Goodluck To The Students Who Do Attend Or Will Attend Just Know Your Life Doesn’t Stop Here If You Ever Plan On Leaving But I Will Say The Staffs That Do Have My Upmost Respect From This Program Either Past Or Present Is: Mr. Hayes, Shaquilla Scott, Diliah, Ms. Stickle, The Lady In Records And Records Manager Kate Those Are Some Genuine People Who I Really Felt Like Actually Cared And Just Pure.

I started working in November 2021 and I left February 2022. The old RC director Miss C she goes by who is now the director of another building and also RCS miss Cox was horrible! They caused me to have anxiety attacks, they lied about me in front of me. Lucky for me I was recording the whole conversation! They will call you on your days off and start problems and write you up the next day. They do not care about their students! They do not care about their student mental health or overall health. No supervisor or management’s know what they are doing. They do not know how to supervise or direct. They do not know how to speak to staff! They do not know how to treat staff. The students are not allowed to call 911 if they have an emergency. Staff does not care when students are not feeling well. It will take them 2-3 days for students to finally go to urgent care or the ER. Kids were catching Covid without even going home! Supervisor does not know how to supervise! They do not relief staff for their breaks! They do not relief staff on time to go home! They lie about the work hours! Staff will go without breaks! Staff will bring in vapes for students! Staff will have inappropriate relationships with students! Staff have to constantly pick up food for student due to lack of food. They will not bring weekend snacks! They make it impossible for student to go back home, only due to the fact they have to hold an amount of students so they don’t pay money. Student always getting terminated! They ask RC to do everyone else jobs! RC never have time to do their tasks and gets talk down upon. They speak to staff like they are monkeys! I would not recommend this place! They do not value their staffs or the students that creates Jobcorps! It is horrible place to send your kids.especially if they suffer mental health! Don’t do it!

Most unprofessional place. If you are on medication and thinking about going here I recommend you not unless you want to go without meds for multiple days due to their terrible communication. This place should be investigated for the amount of malpractice that goes on here.

If this is your only option I would recommend it but other than that don’t even bother although I did enjoy my time there but didn’t even receive my facility maintenance completion certification can’t even prove it when jobs are asking for that and been trying to contact people there they don’t even care if you’re not a previous student from there they got their check that’s all they care about

Some people here have no choice because they’re homeless but if your not that person find a different opportunity there’s a lot out there. They treat you like kids here if you stay here for more than a month your going to feel like you’re trapped like animals they stop people from going home to their families u don’t have Privacy. If you have a medical problem they will just tell you to drink water or sleep it off.

Just went to get my grandson for the holiday weekend. You can't go in had to wait by the security building and he came out to get my license to copy for paperwork. All and all easy to find.

Our interviewer, was very kind and patient. She allowed us to answer the questions in our own time and way. We didn’t feel rushed or like we were wasting her time if we wanted to explain ourselves further. She made us feel very comfortable. She really made the whole process easy and I personally feel she deserves credit for her people skills. She answered all our questions with poise and helped assuage our misgivings. Thanks for all your assistance, Renee!

As a Instructor this is great program on paper. But $27,000 dollars of tax payers money for each student? They graduate and work at Wal-Mart. I enjoyed my time teaching the students. The management team has little intergity. If you want to sale your soul then this job is for you! The Center Director is always under investigation by the government?

I am now 53. At the the age of 18 I went, I don't remember anything but good. I needed the structure and discipline to accomplish what I needed. I received my Ged, nurcing asst, also took typing and took as many trades as I could. I actually only signed up for two years, but got it extended because I had alot of drive to acomplish what I could, While I was there. I got to volunteer with the dental office knowing that was what I wanted to go to college for. I went to Husdon Valley community college and got my certification. I have to agree, it's what you make of it. I am very proud to say It worked for me. I am also, just glad to finally be able to share my story.

It’s a prison, college, and high school all rolled up into one. Its not worth the $23.01 (instead of the $25 they promise you when you sign up! Thanks taxes) you make every two weeks. If you’re 18+ you’re gonna feel trapped.youre gonna feel like you’re being treated like a child. You’re gonna feel like you’re in a prison. The program isn’t worth it. Just get a minimum wage job you’re better off than wasting your time in this hell hole
