Glowbar Upper East Side, New York NY

My facial was very underwhelming. I’ve been to Glow Bar before and always been happy with the results. I left yesterday wishing I’d opted for a traditional facial somewhere else. I lacked that post facial glow and my skin had flaky residue that was peeling. One of the aestheticians in another room was also talking loudly and the vibe was the opposite of relaxing. It was not the Sunday treat yourself experience I had hoped.

Also the bed you lay on had visible dirt marks at the end. It’s clear they don’t change the covering regularly which is not particularly hygienic.

I love being a member here, but there have now been 2 instances where my appointments have been cancelled last minute with no availability with another aesthetician on the same day or even the next day.the employees who have called me to cancel never offer assistance in booking another appointment or seem empathetic to the inconvenience of being a member and having an appointment cancelled last minute when it was made weeks in advance.i have been left scrambling to find another appointment after normal working hours with very little availability because it is last minute.there has to be better accountability in my opinion.

I had super dry and flaky skin, it was peeling off so I decided to come here. I went once for dermaplaning and they were great! Professional and hygienic. Left Glowbar with hydrated glowing skin! Will definitely come back.

I love it. In and out in 30 minutes. I really don’t take care of my skin but I make sure to come here every month and my skin is perfect and even better than the “spa” facials. This place literally is about helping you achieve your best skin.

Not the most attentive front desk. Went for my first time which also states it in my appointment profile. Communicated that it was my first time but just greeted me and told me to wash my face. I thought that maybe that’s just routine until 2 ladies arrived and got the entire breakdown of the products they were selling, the products that you’re washing your face with and what the expect for the appointment. No they did not ask for this breakdown so I was disappointed but not surprised. The esthetician was attentive but kind of wish it was that way from the beginning.

Mason is so nice, understanding, and helpful. She listened to all of my struggles, informed me of why certain products probably weren't working. And from the first visit with her, the transformation started the very next day.

I have never been so happy with my skin, it's nearly flawless at this point, after only 3 months of treatment, and I actually feel like I want to take care of myself more because of the confidence this gives me. Thank you Mason!

I am a member at Glowbar and I love everything about this place. It's so affordable and easy. They do extractions which my skin really needs every few days so this is my go to place. The place is clean, the staff is warm and welcoming and they use good products

Went here a few months ago. I noticed a had a lot of redness and open skin but i thought it wouldn’t scar. After a while, i waited to see if the scars left over would heal… they didn’t. I gave it a few months before i wrote this review to give them the benefit of the doubt and still left w awful scarring. Sad. It was only 20 min not 30 and she went so rough on my skin i’m not suprised i got scarring

You really get what you pay for in these 30 min facials. Honestly, you don't get the same quality and attention, especially if you need extractions (for expediency sake, they use this machine that costs like $30 on Amazon). They do use nice products, but I go to facials for their techniques, not for them to just apply product to my face

Terrible service, very dirty, and absolutely disgusting. I have no idea how they pass state hygiene requirements. I got a staph infection from their non-existing tool sanitizing! Avoid at all costs or end up on a month of antibiotics.

I usually have a good experience at this location but I do not think I will be coming back. During an extraction, I felt tolerable discomfort and at first I didn’t think anything of it (typically normal to feel some pain) but when I came home I was able to see that the esthetician broke a considerable amount of skin and now I have a very sizable scar forming above my eyebrow that will probably leave a dark spot.

Instead of coming out feeling confidant about glowing, radiant skin I was left feeling insecure about the appearance of my face. Sure she got the deep blackhead, but at what cost?

0/10 experience. Wasn’t worth the cost and I would not recommend GlowBar to anyone.

They allowed Me to Book my appointment despite Knowing that the Esthetician that I ASKED For No longer worked there and decided NOT to tell Me. Was not pleased with the Esthetician or her tone. Would NOT go back.

Pros & cons. My face looks good but aside from that- the bed was dirty and super uncomfortable, I was basically inverted (and I’m very pregnant) so I had to ask in the middle to raise the headrest which should have been a given. It was extremely loud and not relaxing- people were hanging in the waiting room the entire time laughing and screaming, super annoying. At least 5-10 minutes of the facial I sat there with her doing nothing to me and she only “extracted” half my face. It was also only 25 minutes, not 30. My friend apparently had the opposite experience so I might try again with a different person but overall not the great experience I was hoping for.

My favorite facial in the city! Great for people on the go who don't have hours for a treatment and very affordable! The staff is so knowledgeable and welcoming! I cannot wait to continue treatments and try out the Union Square location! 10/10 recommend!

Glori was amazing, and I had the best experience at Glowbar UES! The studio was super clean and welcoming. This was my first ever facial, so Glori walked me through every step as she did it. Not only did she explain what she was going to do, but how it would help my skin. Glori asked questions to understand my skincare routine and made suggestions without pressuring me. I felt safe, comfortable, and welcomed my entire time in the studio. I highly recommend Glowbar for a quick, great facial and a lovely experience!
