Gold Star Service, Hicksville NY

Called Gold Star to replace water heater, Matt and Isaac were at my house the following day. I received clear communication via phone and txt when they were dispatched and when they will arrive. Upon arrival guys inspected the problem and provided 3 options with clear pricing that helped me to make decision on what I want to do. We discussed the options, agreed and on price and deposit and the day after team came to do the work. New water heater was installed, old one was taken away and guys cleaned everything up like they were never there. When the work was done I receive receipt in the email for my records and follow up from the service desk. That was easy! Thanks for the prompt, courteous and professional service.

Scott Johnson was everything I could ask for in a service technician. He was professional, efficient, and personable. He carefully explained all of the options available to me, the related costs, and the pros and cons of each choice before proceeding with any work. This is my second experience using Gold Star. We needed to replace a very old hot water heater in our home. We called Gold Star because we have used their services in the past. Their people are always very professional, helpful, informative, and they clean up after themselves. They always do excellent work and while they aren't the cheapest, they are reasonable and worth the extra cost. I would recommend them to anyone.

Had a sewer line issue. Got it resolved. I appreciate the quick response and Ben who came over and took care of everything. Now we can use our toilets and showers without a problem.

Louis was absolutely amazing. I had an emergency called Gold Star and they responded right away. Gold Star is very professional, neat, and clean they handled the job from start finish in a timely matter. Gold Star is highly recommended.

The plumber Luis was professional and courteous. He worked cleanly and efficiently. He explained what was needed and why. He quoted the price and waited patiently for me to decide to have him proceed with fixing the problem. The prices to me were a bit costly but I thought about the quality. I believe the pricing was fair given the amount of time that was spent to correct the problems. He was through and I was pleased.

The technician gold star service sent (Luis) was absolutely fantastic. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable. His work was perfect and he made sure there was no mess left behind. As far as gold stars prices are concerned.well that’s another story. To replace a kitchen and a bathroom faucet that was supplied by me cost $814.00. I was in a pinch and needed it done so I paid it. $400.00 for the kitchen and 350.00 for the bathroom with tax came to $814.00. That is insane! I would say if you needed good work done in a pinch and had absolutely no other options then use Good Star service.if you have the time I’m sure you could find someone who does the same caliber work at a lower price.

Had an issue with a Needle Valve on a line going to my Hot Water Heater. Called Goldstar spoke with Angeli who was so pleasant and sweet! Took all my info down.had a serviceman to my home in less then an hour! Trevor, who performed the repair, is a relatively new employee with Goldstar. Trevor repair/replaced the valve and some small amount of piping in no time. Trevor was very professional, straightforward and began the job immediately with no issues at all! Very pleased with his work, but my dealings with Matt and his staff for a number of years now, I was not surprised! Goldstar Plumbing is not cheap, but you get what you pay for, and for my wife and I, they continue to do quality service with piece of mind knowing the work performed is top notch, and Trevor did that once again for us today!

The issue with Gold Star is that they charge to come to your house to tell you what they can do and how much it will cost. If you give them the work that charge is credited. This eliminates the consumers ability to get estimates and select the best service provider for their job unless you're willing to spend money for multiple estimates. In a situation with a backed up toilet your hands are tied. In my business we do not charge a fee to advise how much a product or service will cost that's our job to inform and convince the client that we are the best provider not the other way around. That said the work was done promptly and there seems to be no further issues with the drains.

From start to finish this was an AMAZING experience. Everybody who I spoke with on the phone from incredible nice and easy to speak with. We had a fairly big job that needed to be completed and Gold Star sent Nester to do the job and he was PHENOMENAL! Incredibly knowledgeable about the job he was performing and answered all the questions we had. We have a tankless water heater which many places were unable to service but Gold Star sent Nester who not only fixed our issue but identified other problems that could have caused bigger issues down the road. I highly recommend Gold Star for your Pluming/Heating needs and especially recommend Nester from Gold Star!

Top quality service. I couldn't ask for anything better. Had the founder, Matt, personally come to the house to assess my hazardous boiler situation. Matt took his time to go over all the details, gave me multiple options, and finally customized a solution to fit my needs (and budget). The man is competent and efficient.
The team at Gold Star perpetuates that culture. When the crew showed up for the job, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was set up correctly. Smooth. Clean. Adaptable. It was a very fluid experience.
Fully trust this company and will look to hire them again when we can afford to put in Central AC.

If you have a tankless water heater, do not call them!

I have had them over my home 3 times and they have now created more problems then I had to begin with. My heater is still not working correctly! Charging me $1,700 in the meantime. Extremely unreliable service

The only good thing I will say is that Debbie in the office is very nice and very helpful.

Excellent service! Our plumber Nestor Paredes is very nice, professional and friendly. I have asked several plumbers to come to check my water heater, no one fixed it, Until Nestor came to my house and use very professional tool to find the problem and fix it. I have wasted too much money on other plumbers. Next time I will call gold service directly. They are so so so professional! Thank you very much Nestor! Gold Service should give him a best employee award!
