Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort, Lake Placid NY

This place was wonderful! The staff was amazing and well definitely be heading back next year.

We had a wonderful time at your hotel. Our room was very clean and spacious. The view of Mirror Lake was spectacular! The staff was very nice and helpful. We loved sitting at the fire pit at night. Very good touch! The location was perfect. This was our first trip to Lake Placid and we are so happy we stayed at Golden Arrow. We will absolutly stay there again. A+

The staff at Golden Arrow were beyond accommodating and caring! They take cleanliness and hospitality very seriously—our room was spotless! The location was perfect and we can’t wait to visit again.

I was very pleased with my stay here. The whole resort is beautiful. The staff was very nice. Beautiful view of lake and not extremely crowded on the beach. Very peaceful stay with many things to do.

Great location and experience! We got this hotel last minute because our airb&b canceled, but this turned out so much better. Right in town, nice pool/ hot tub area and private beach with canoes. I recommend this place!

The restaurants was great whenever we had lunch, breakfast and dinner.
However the service from the hotel front desk, some of the staff was not.
Before arriving to the hotel they asked for our itinerary and I email it to them.they never said anything about our times we had certain things planned but while at the hotel we had to move around our scheduled activities because of their time restrictions.
We complained about one of the rooms that it had a funny smell and the shower area was dingy and they just apologize but did not change the couples room.
Not one time was my room cleaned or bathroom linens was changed, I did not asked the rest of the guest about their room experience.
I wrote an email to our coordinator with our concerns and it was disregarded, (I did not tell him about the linens though, I just realize that this morning) nothing was changed to accommodate.

Very friendly staff. The room was very nice. The views from the hotel are amazing and the outdoor amenities even in winter were great.

Excellent staff, excellent views, excellent rooms. 5/5, would definitely recommend. Location in town is perfect. Fringe amenities like the private beach and onsite quality restaurant are top notch. Everyone working there was great and made the stay something special.

We were visiting at the end of COVID. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly - excellent servers at the hotel restaurant and when I needed help finding paddles for canoeing - staff helped immediately. We reserved rather late and limited room choices, but despite that we had a great room with an incredible view of Mirror Lake. The hotel held a Oktoberfest on Sunday, which was lots of fun - great Lake Placid Pub beer and excellent magician.

The staff was superior from check in to check out. The room was spotless and our stay was wonderful. We have to give a shout out to Austin, Cassie and ALL the staff at Generations. Food & drink were great!
We’ll be back for sure.

We got a great balcony overlooking lake. We wanted a bathtub but Geez it was so small. Front desk workers were excellent.great help! Wish it had a better restaurant.

To yr reply: they checked in at 8. When they got there. With a preexisting reservation and she did ask for help and you guys directed her to to packed garage, therefore you did not help.hence my bad review. If you're going to host a wedding party make sure you have room for everyone else.

My parents drove hours to get here and now she's spent close to an hour circling the parking lot for a space. It's so jam packed.

Terrible, customer service charged a cancellation fee.
The hotel kept a $10 fee from the third party booking, which was NOT disclosed when I made the reservation. Keeping $10 is on a free cancellation is not the way to do business

Wonderful time spent at hotel. Our room was perfect the Haystack Suite. Top floor end of hallway The balcony overlooked the lake what a view. The fire pit was so much fun to hang out at. My husband lived the pool area and the hot tub. Everyone was nice helpful friendly. Very clean and well maintained. If we ever go back to Lake Placid we will be staying at the Golden Arrow and get that room if possible thank you for a wonderful stay

Beautiful rooms (suite) 517 panther room wood burning fire place, balcony with a great view and nice big hot tub!

My husband and I along with our wedding guests stayed here for an absolutely magical weekend. This is a family owned and run business, and let me tell you that it absolutely shows. Not only is this venue well run, but the people behind the scenes are genuinely good humans. If you are lucky enough that they have your date available book it now. My husband and I were lucky enough to have our wedding celebration with the GA team and our guests are still talking about it weeks later. Alex, Brandon, and Natasha SEAMLESSLY coordinated three days of events for us (welcome happy hour, ceremony & reception, farewell brunch). They did not miss a beat. Not only were they always responsive, no matter how little the question, but they SHOWED UP for us on one of the biggest weekends of our lives. As a bride, I had some moments where I needed help with other vendors and they took every single thing in stride and handled it themselves. We'd honestly get married again each year if it meant seeing this amazing group again, as they were just class acts all the way through. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you GA team. Seriously, book them- you absolutely won't regret it.

I wish I could give this hotel more than five stars. The amenities are amazing. There’s a beach, kayaks/paddleboard‘s/paddle boats that are included with your stay. Stay on the first floor where you have direct access to the beach, lake and fire pits. Three gas fire pits right next to the lake that were great to unwind and have a glass of wine by at the end of the day. Nice large indoor pool with two Jacuzzis. Good restaurant on site and parking included as well. It is right in the heart of Lake Placid and well worth staying
