A bug in my food, right when I opened the lid. Should have listened to the previous reviews and stayed away.

The best Pork Fried rice in the neighborhood and most affordable Chinese food in Hudson yards.

This place used to be very good. I don't know what happened the food is at times smells spoiled or over or under cooked.it's like they don't care anymore! I stopped going there.

Ordered lunch special chicken and string beans found my dish mostly filled with rice and little chicken and beans

Forgot our sweet and sour sauce for the sweet and sour chicken, wonton soup was salty to the point of not being edible. General tso's chicken was ok, but not enough sauce. Pork fried rice was good.

Nice and tasty Brinjal beef with white rice. Come with spicy soup for lunch special at USD 9.75 after tax.

I lived in Little Italy for years, and one would think that it would be relatively simple to find Egg Fu Young on a menu, ANY menu, in neighboring Chinatown. Yeah, no. It actually isn't.

Because I learned that Egg Fu Young is not a traditional Chinese dish. It's like Pizza.

That said, living in lower Manhattan does not lend itself to being able to find this dish with ease. So whenever I am near an Asian Food restaurant and I see this item on the menu, I GO FOR IT! I'm like YAYYYYYYY! Egg Fu Younnngggg!

Well I stopped into Golden City Chinese yesterday afternoon, put in my order and then waited about 15 minutes for the order to arrive. The order never arrived. I stood there and stood there and stood there, alone, well me and the deliver guy. Place was empty.

Food never came.

However, since I didn't have anything else to do I was patient. I mean, it's Egg Fu Young! I dish that I rarely see. I was willing to wait another 15 minutes for that Egg Fu Young! That's how unoften I get to order Egg Fu Young. I can count the number of times I've had Egg Fu Young over the past 20 years. So I was truly ready to wait another 15 minutes.

Yeah, it didn't quite work out like that because while I sat there waiting in an empty restaurant for the order that I put in 15 minutes prior, another man walked in, proudly, with his dog, and that's when I was like "Nah, I'm good. "

Sorry, but this is the 2nd Asian restaurant that I've visited in the past 6 months, where someone has come in with their pet dog, willy nilly, like dogs and restaurants go together.

I beg to differ. So I left without the order.

I am so bummed about this place. I’ve been eating here for years with no problem, but reading the reviews recently I am disgusted to see that just TWO MONTHS ago there was a baby roach fried into someone’s food. Yes, it’s true - the ladies who answer the phone are very rude - be prepared for that. Yes, it’s also true that the delivery man is rude and will hound you for more money if he doesn’t think you have tipped enough (but also c’mon! Delivery workers deserve tips when they’re bringing you your dinner! - don’t order delivery from ANYWHERE if you aren’t going to tip!) They are also not consistent with their opening hours and one never knows if they are actually open or not. Nothing worse than having a craving for Chinese food and having them not answer the phone when they say that they’re open. Their “roach-free” food has always been fine by me - but I don’t see it worth taking a risk for the future. I really don’t understand how they have an “A” rating and think they should be re-evaluated. Staying away.

Cheap Chinese takeout (<$10 per meal) that is surprisingly good, among the cheap Chinese takeouts I’ve gotten. Eggplant is battered and fried until golden. Wonton and egg roll seem house made. Food usually ready in 5 mins. No customer service to speak of but you’re not here for that. Manage your expectations and you’ll have a good time

Not terrible but not great either. Mediocre all around. There’s many better Chinese spots in the area.

Decent food for a quick snack if you're in a hurry. Though I strongly recommend you take care not to get swamped in by the lunch hour because many people want that lunch hour special. I recommend personally the Sesame Chicken with White Rice.

Avoid this this place. My brother and I found two dead roaches in our food. We called and told them and they didn’t care at all. Do not order from here, unless you like dead roaches in your food. Good luck

Food is good and portions are really good.but they don't acknowledge you when you come in at all. I waited 10 minutes till I was approached and the approach was, 'what u order'. I replied, I haven't ordered yet, then the phone wrang and I was completely ignored, so I left.

The food is ok, if you watch them. Because friend of mines ordered some food, and we saw one if cooks dropped a piece of meat on the floor and picked it up and put it back in food. That was disgusting, we changed our order and left.

Update: The new cashier, doesn't understand English, she tried to give me something else, that I didn't want.

Update: The delivery guy, begged for a tip. Then got A attitude, because I didn’t give him one. And have the nerve to short change me, and call me a thief, because I wouldn’t give him a tip. And he wasn’t going to leave until I gave him a tip. Not only, did my co worker, say the food was disgusting.

The food is disgusting why is there a French fry mixed with my scallops and shrimp fried rice? The shrimp roll is old and the crab sticks are mushy and falling apart.waste of $20. AVOID ORDERING FROM THIS PLACE BY ALL MEANS.

Enjoy their General Tso's combination platter that comes with pork fried rice and your choice of drink or egg roll. Nice simple dinner that is consistent.
