Golden Corral Buffet & Grill, Queensbury NY

Camping in Lake George we try to stop before heading back home. They updated the desert bar which the kids loved and the food was very good. They got the process down and quickly refilled whatever emptied. Staff was very helpful and attentive to pick up plates.

Staff is wonderful, food was awesome glad I visited here, haven't been to a Golden Corral since the pandemic!

Finally got to cross this off my bucket list. Buffets like this don't really exist near me anymore and I always kind of wanted to see what the fuss was about.

It's a buffet. You get loads of food for a set price. The only thing about that price I took issue with, was charging $3.99 for a soda. The food was not very good. Yes, there were lots of options, surely something for everyone and it was all palatable but not what I could honestly classify as really tasty. There wasn't a single item, save the dessert, that I felt any urge to remark on.
The cotton candy cake was the exception, my stars it was tasty! And the best part of any buffet, the self-serve creemee actually was nice and creamy.

Our server was really nice!

I wouldn't go out of my way again, to be sure, but at least I can cross it off the list.

*Unrelated to the restaurant: some diner had a car full of bearded dragons! There were folks stopping to look at them left and right, and it was fun to see.

Some of the food was gross. The Mac and cheese, which usually is more of a homemade kind, tasted bland and gross, like box mac and cheese if u heated it up the next day. That was disappointing. Some of the food was good but a lot was not. And they do NOT have the chocolate fountain here, sadly.

Loads of different dishes to try, friendly service, always good. Sometimes hate the mad rush of trying to get what you like from the buffet & is often crowded. But definitely a great place for even the fussiest of eaters.

The Variety of foods offered was good, foods ranged from cabbage and fresh fruit to bourbon chicken etc. Ham, ribs, and steak available at dinner. I had lemon meringue and pecan pie for dessert, I do miss the strawberries dipped in the chocolate fountain.

Similar to other Golden Corals we've been to in many other states. Food is the same all over. Would like to see something different for awhile. Server was excellent, tight quarters with seating and food equally as good as my own local GC.

The only issue I have is with the customers and the kids. You have people coming in all directions and walking right in front of you or standing right behind you at the buffet in no particular order. Then you have the kids, which was chaotic, running around in every single different direction and anytime I've gone the dessert table is a wreck meaning I will find different Sweets mixed in with other sweets like stuff dropping in the pudding. I won't eat the pudding. Otherwise it was fine

Great unlimited selection of quality food. Around 18.50 (I think) for an adult dinner, and 3.50 for unlimited soft drinks. All fresh. You can see the food being prepared. Good selection at salad bar. Wide range of mains and sides. Fresh pies! Ice cream too! Staff are lovely. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return next time we're in the area. Better food and value than competitors. If you leave hungry, it's your own fault. My favourite restaurant this year.

Everything we had was very good! My only complaint is they have servers who don't speak or understand English!

Very great food the servers aren't so friendly and the cashier was to busy talking with a guy for 13 minutes before we even got to pay and she even forgot the silverware worse staff I've seen in there! The people cutting meat and making sure we had fresh food amazing job! The waitress left plates gave the drinks to the wrong table i give the chef's and some food a 4 star!

Depends on the day and the time that you visit you can either get really good hot tasty food or you can get food that has been sitting there for hours. This time when I went all the food was nice and hot compared to the last two times that I visited this restaurant. Maybe there has been a change in management I'm not sure but I will visit again as I do like the salad bar.

3rd visit this year July 6th 2023, food and visit was great! Except for the cashier, she clearly was irritated, like come on you have an important job greeting guests, We had a 17month with us and the cashier her attitude was for the trash. Put her out back where she does not interact with guests.

Our waiter was great and accommodating seeing we had a small child.

It's a buffet. Good, fresh cooked food with good service. The best Golden Corral I've been to.

Heather is one of the rudest waitresses there. Another reviewer included a photo of her. Very nasty attitude, snatches the receipts off the table like serving you is the worst part of her day. She was overheard badmouthing management and saying she only stays "because they love me there". Really honey? Would never go back to this Golden Corral again until she's gone!

Above average golden corral. Clean and good service. All the food was well prepared with the exception of the BBQ ribs and ham (special courses). The ribs were under cooked (not in a dangerous way) and a little tough. The ham was overcooked which seems really hard to do. But all in all it was a solid meal.

Food was great. Service was good for the time of day. It was a busy Saturday night and there was 6 in our party. We did find it extremely warm inside and thought that the AC would have been working better. All in all we had a good time and will definitely be back.

As always there are good things and some not as good, but I can always find the good and some salad and veggies.

The food was delicious. The service was friendly. Restaurant was clean. Good place to eat. Glad we stopped in.

Once a year, you have to experience the greatness of Golden Corral. Was my first time since before the covid and it delivered again! Imagine the best buffet of all-time, this is what Golden Corral is all about!
