7 I went to the recently opened Harvest Smokehouse last weekend. What a wonderful find – one of the best barbecue meals I’ve ever had. It offers a variety of Applewood smoked meat, with a choice of tasty sauces such as Applejack, Peach Chipotle, Jerk Cider Habenero and BBQ Russian. My friend and I shared the pulled pork and apple bratwurst (homemade sausage) sandwiches, which were absolutely delicious – as well as three sides. The cider slaw, smoked potato salad and baked beans were wonderful, each with its own distinctive taste. The French fries were crisp and nicely seasoned and served with a yummy curry mayo.
We also ordered take out items for dinner – delicious jerk chicken and a tasty seasonal salad with pickled veggies, toasted pepitas, apples and cider vinaigrette.
I highly recommend Harvest Smokehouse – you won’t be disappointed!
Fresh fruit and produce, delicious apple cider donuts and also a surprise BBQ lunch made this a memorable stop on the 4th of July. We will be back.
Prices as expected at farm store. Little restaurant has good food, once again as you would expect from a farm to table take out restaurant. Meals range from 8 to 15 not including sides, drinks, extras. Has a distillery onside but didn't try that.
Great farm stand with a variety of items. Everything from pies to cheeses, on-site distillery producing an excellent variety of apple vodka and brandy and a smoke house with a good mix of BBQ.
Yes, they have the best Apple Cider Donuts in the area and great selection of farm fresh produce, but forget all of that and go there for the newly opened Smokehouse! Pulled pork sandwiches like I've never had before and fries that will make you want to leave all other fries behind. I'm looking forward to going back soon to try some of their other offerings.
There are no words for their cider donuts except heavenly! Everytime I go back to NY to visit, I take tons home & freeze them. Great place!
