Gold's Gym reviews
21 I've had to dispute charges on my card because they're unwilling to work with me. They gave me misleading info regarding my billing and their hours back in September and then refused to refund me an hour after my card was charged today. I was told they were refunding the annual membership fee since they were closed for 6 months, but that never happened and they still wouldn't work with me after hearing that. This isn't my first time pulling teeth trying to get them to be decent people and it seems like they'd rather lose a customer forever than refund $20.
I've been going to this gym for years and whenever their equipment is broken in takes many weeks, if not months to repair, which is frustrating as a member. Would not recommend.
Emily kimball the general manger is by far one of the worst chain employees I have ever come in contact with. Had zero problems at golds until she started working there constantly starting problems and making open threats towards myself and many others that go to gold. Constantly double charging my account and I have to go in and speak to them about it. Other then her employees aren’t too bad although she controls them like pawns on a chess board. I see why people constantly cancel their memberships. No wonder This gym continues to lose money.
A nice gym, even during COVID. Some people could be better monitored though. I saw a few noses peeking over masks.
Great place super friendly guy in reception.
Did a few drop Ins last year in September
.
Thanks so much
So they send you an invite to use their gym for free for 30 days sound good huh? Well why would you need my credit card to do this? Always a catch, sorry I'll stick to Planet Fitness up the road.
A lot of equipment but there's always things out of service - any given day there's at least 3 treadmills that are broken/out of service, just last week there were 5 out of service!
Many of the problem staff are gone, which is a plus.
Saturday and Sunday hours should be extended!
The worst gym ever. I wouldn't recommend to anybody. Personal stuff is unprofessional. The gym shouldn't be called gold's gym and it should be call garbage gym.
Good gym for beginner to advanced lifters. It only has 3 squat racks though. No dead lift platform, but you can do it in front of racks. Lots of cable machines, and treadmills. Areas for classes. More private workout rooms. There is a women's only area, but I'm not sure what it has. Bathrooms, showers and lockerooms are decent. Staff is great. Regulars are friendly.
Spacious, clean, more than 1 machine for specific exercises. Bathrooms are big, clean, have tv's so you can watch news, etc while changing; privacy stalls, steam room and sauna
Good staff, unfortunately patrons never wipe down machines, or put away equipment. Constantly there are broken machines. Good for a quick workout
I just started with gold's gym and I am very pleased with the customer service and a very efficient trainer.
Everything is falling apart in this place, and everything is WAY too expensive. $50 for a Champion hoodie that says Golds? 4.50$ for a small bs thing of preworkout? 10$ more just to tan? In fact, as I type this, there are atleast 7 cardio machines in my view that have out of order signs.on them. Pass this place- there are better gyms out there like the YMCA or maybe Retro.
It's very a good gym all new stuff and the best service and everything what you want is the best here and I recommended you to come here
The gym is dirty all the time. The steamer stopped working for more than a month and today the sauna is out of service. Inside the sauna there are two pieces of wood that must be replaced and this has been going on for the last three months? If not more. There is nobody to clean the locker's zone, the mirrors, not even the showers. The showers are dirty as well. The staff is very friendly and nice.
It's a good gym but in serious need of a upgrade. The equipment looks run down and the gym needs a paint job. The staff is excellent though and the kids drop off is really nice.
Big open gym with lots of equipment. Some of the equipment really needs to be replaced or fixed though.
Pros:
Moderately clean, large space, good cardio options
Steam room, tanning options
Cons:
overcrowded at peak times
Weak Wi-Fi
Only 2 squat racks
Inefficient use of space
Parking can be annoying
Excellent gym, great trainers, the machines are very well maintained. Not the nicest Golds Gym, but much more than most.
The worst gym ever. I wouldn't recommend to anybody. Personal stuff is unprofessional. Shouldn't call gold gym. Should call garbage gym.
Always a great experience at Golds. Large, open, airy facility and very clean. Come in, workout and leave refreshed. Just wish they had a pool!
