Goodwill NYNJ Store & Donation Center reviews
14Lots of savings on clothes and dry goods. Positive spirits and a nice atmosphere. Could use more than one checkout but even there, things moved nicely.
Some nice stuff, some junk they say everything
Is checked and works but don't allow.returns
So basically if no good your stuck with it.
Me gusta la ropa I like the clothes but I don't like the cashier's service, why does she feel uncomfortable asking for donations?
I'm very disappointed to say that this Goodwill location makes trying to donate items incredibly inconvenient to the point where I find myself unable to try to use it to help people get easier access to gently used and even some never-been-worn clothing.
I arrived around 2: 30, ready to bring my donations in, only to find the donation area locked. When I expressed that I had left work early to try to donate these items, I was met with an unsympathetic refusal to take my items, which I had intended and offered to carry in without assistance. I was told that I could only donate in a very limited range of hours from 10 AM to 2 PM.
It's maddening to me that attempts to make good-faith donations would be so hamstrung that I would be unable to reasonably do so. I hope this policy is swiftly revisited in the interest of customers in need.
Good program. You find clothes, kitchen and home items, some new and others used, but of great help for a family that is going through a difficult time. Prices are moderate. It has an excellent location and ample parking. The service is excellent and the people who serve are very friendly. I recommend it if you can help. I recommend it if you need some help.
I freaking love this store! Got this great dress for my music video shoot and the blue dress for my photo shoot. Under $20 can’t beat that
Nothing special, mostly clothing. Lacking many things that regular thrift shops have
No puzzles, games or toy section. No crafts or fabric. I didn't see sheets or towels. Maybe they were there and I couldn't find them, but on the whole it felt empty compared to the Goodwill in Danbury.
Love that the clothes are organized by color. Makes it easy to look. Wish they had clothes for kids.
The WORST GOODWILL I HAVE BEEN TO MANAGER IS NOT HELPFUL AND NO FITTING ROOMS NEVER AGAIN!
Very interesting items. Could not find what I wanted, but inventory changes from day to date. Prices are GREAT.
I used to love this store. However, the dressing rooms have been closed for over a year at this point, maybe two.i could understand during the start of the pandemic. But at this point, it’s RIDICULOUS. I just spent $40 on clothes and none of them fit. This could have been prevented by open dressing rooms. There is no reason they should be closed. You’re telling me they have money to redo the registers but not the dressing rooms that have been closed for years?
The store has limited items and many of the clothing racks are not packed. I went today and they have no childrens' clothing (NONE). They also were pulling the clothing with the sales color on a Thursday, which means you can no longer find the anything with the sales color. I also have seen no items brought out despite being there for awhile.
To the respondent, I know they were taking the color of the day off the racks as I managed to pull two items off the rack that took to the back with the color.
The summers Goodwill is an average type Goodwill store. Tons of used clothes, lots of household goods. I didn’t see any tools today. The store is clean and evidently well-managed.
Extremely overpriced on EVERYTHING! Selling dollar tree items BEYOND original cost is NUTS! Do Better!

Your regional managers should definitely monitor your stores in the Hudson Valley as items are priced according to brand name and not fair market value. Also, any SILVER objects whether it be platters or silverware is taken away and NEVER sees the shelf for sale for reasons unknown to the public as stated by your employees that it is your new policy. The policy stated by employees: ALL SILVER IS TO BE SENT DIRECTLY TO CORPORATE!
Highly suspect and egregious to the motives and the mission of Goodwill.
