Gotham Comedy Club reviews
17I stopped by an open mic night for a friends performance and Jim Gaffigan showed up as a surprise guest. The comics were awesome and Jim crushed it.
Stand-up comedy at its best. We went to Gotham all stars which maintained high quality throughout.
Always have a great time here! Highly recommend to anybody visiting the city, and equally if you live here! The comedy is always class and I’d say you can be sure that 3/5 acts will smash it! The cocktails aren’t the best, I’d advise sticking to the beer and wine, but you’re there for the comedy anyway.
Generally mixed feeing about standup in general. The venue is okay.
The comics have sadly not perfected their craft enough to find actually funny content, and instead often rely on the discomfort of crassness as the foundation of a call for laughs. Not actually funny - but the body reacts as though it is and they feel they’ve succeeded, when they havent.
Great 'Short Sets per Comic' Format gave us a wide Variety of solid talent and Many Laughs - Service was swift and professional- We'd Go Back although I live 'Way Out West in New Mexico!
Great place. Cocktails were good for drinking and the comedians were hilarious. Has a great time.
What is there to say about Gotham? It's a great spot, legendary and always full of great comedic talent! You drink and laugh the entire time what is there not to love?
A fun place to spend an evening in the Big Apple. Michael Che showed up for a surprise performance while we were there
Absolutely awesome, extremely funny. Minimal amount of swearing meant it was well thought out humour.
Gotham Comedy Club in NYC is a mecca for comedy enthusiasts. It’s hands down one of the best comedy spots in New York City, offering top-notch performances that will have you in stitches throughout the night. While I didn’t try the food during my visit, the main focus here is definitely the comedy, and they deliver on that front exceptionally well.
The drinks at Gotham Comedy Club are strong.
If you’re looking for a night of pure entertainment and laughter, Gotham Comedy Club is the place to be. While I can’t vouch for the food, the comedy alone is well worth the visit. The club’s lively atmosphere and hilarious performances make it a top choice for a fun night out in NYC.
Friendly staff. Didn’t eat but my drink was solid! Low pressure serving let me focus on the show. Every comedian killed and the headliner was top notch. Crowd was a little weird, mostly white out-of-towners but fun show none the less.
Love Gotham, always comfy amount of space in the seats, don’t feel like sardines, they have good drinks and always a laugh!
Great comics. Went on a Thursday night. $20.90 min show. 2 drink minimum. Great value. Recommend.
One of my favorite comedy clubs in NYC. Great lineup of comedians combined with excellent service. Highly recommended.
We went for the Gotham all starts (weekend) show.
In total 5 comedian went on stage.
It was really nice that all the tables were close enough to the stage to not feel disconnected and feel the stress/excitement of getting roasted by comedians.
This is a super fun, extra cool place to go. Artists were awesome. Vibe and service - top notch.
Great space, great talent. Drinks were okay, but that’s not why you go to a comedy club. Went on Friday 5/19–The host, Marion, was HILARIOUS her crowd work is top notch. Mark Norman was great, as expected, and I hadn’t seen Nick Young before but he was fuuuuunnnyyy. Highly recommend, great night.
