11 The cashier is very dishonest. For a sandwich that’s 6.50, she first charged me 10. I told her the price was wrong, then she charged 9. I went to the food maker and asked how much it was and he said it was 5, then they spoke in Spanish and decided it was 7.5. Their menu is also convoluted so people wouldn’t see an upfront price.
Shady business. Even when it’s not expensive I won’t go because of their dishonesty.
Walked in. Picked up groceries. Got in line. Made it to the front. Watched while the cashier decided that his friends behind me should be rung up before me. It was weird, uncomfortable and unnecessary.
So I'm in the area for the next 2 weeks so I decided to eat here as it has a variety of choices. The food is really good. The deli men who prepare the food is really nice. Cons: very pricey but it's understandable as it's Hells Kitchen but doesn't mean I have to like it. In addition, the girl in the front isn't very friendly or warm. But the food is good so I'll go back as I only have to be in the area for 2 weeks.
The Food is really good and pricing is reasonable. But I have to give it one star for pricing transparency. I am always charged a couple dollars over the menu price and the staff cant seem to tell me why.
Covet taxes or shady business practices like this makes me super uncomfortable.
The food is good but I had to give it one star because every time I order food over the counter they always mess up the order
Discovered this place while on a trip to NY and we loved it so much we came to it everyday! Amazing coffee, super nice staff, & delicious breakfast for a great price
I only deduct one star because of pricing and communication between staff members. My first time ordering there, I got a vegetarian burger and a salad. The price for the salad was insane for how little they give you. Today, I had ordered a chopped cheese (soooo good) it was my second time ordering. When I had first got it, and asked the price, the cook had told me $5.95 and when I had went to the register, they had tried to charge me an extra dollar but I told them the cook told me $5.95 and they rang it up as that price without any argument. I only work two minutes away but will come here again as their customer service is pretty fast.
TL;DR this place is AMAZING and you should go!
We live in the building above, so it’s always a favorite (and convenient) go-to, but we wouldn’t continue going here if it wasn’t a top-notch “bodega” type of spot. I put that in air quotes because it’s definitely not an actual bodega, yet the breadth of items you can buy here give it that feel. The food is always good, the employees are a pleasure to converse with, and they have a veritable smorgasbord of delicious snacks and drinks. What’s not to love?
Nice place. 24 hour service. Many varieties of drinks and food. Sandwiches, salads and more are offered at reasonable price.
The French toast with bacon and eggs did not disappoint! Best breakfast I've had since I've been in NYC.
Decent deli. Bad experiences helped me find a way better one just down the block. Thanks for helping me out!
