Governors Island Picnic Point reviews
14Excellent experience very nice place and clean to be with your children's / Family / the bathroom are so clean two waoo
Arrive early, before noon, before the masses arrive. Then find an Adorondak chair and enjoy the view and breeze.
Very good. There was music, art, beautiful views, restaurant, food trucks, historical monuments. Short ferry ride to an escape from the city.
Really nice picnic area that has a beautiful view of the Statue of Liberty. There is a Citibank bicycle rental nearby. I'd recommend to get a day pass of citibank rental bike and get the bike when you get off the ferry and cycle around and return the bicycle at picnic point and chill here and can take another bicycle from here.
Governor's Island is the chillest place in NYC. Easy and cheap to get to. Rent a bike here, it's fun and relaxing and a calm getaway from Manhattan.
Great place to visit. Good for family outings and picnics. Lots to do and interesting views. Rent a bike!
Fantastic little get away from the city and only costs a couple bucks to get there. It is a small island for picnic activities or just riding around in a bike
Had a fantastic picnic here, tons of tables and shady areas and a great view of the statue of liberty!
This is a quiet area to the side near the Goat climbing rocks. It is peaceful and not inundated with loud noise or human congestion. Very little cover as the trees are still young and/or the fields are just wide open so bring your sun block.
Nothing short of spectacular. Governors Island in general is a trip to the past and an amazing place to visit when the weather is warm. (It actually only opens in May).
You take a quick ferry to the island and now you are in a different world.
Amazing place, amazing views and the Picnic point, facing Lady Liberty, is perfect. Clean, beautiful. Go visit and take a basket with your favorite snacks and drinks.
They have rental bicycles also.
A beautiful peaceful spot at the far end of Governor's Island. They have comfy wooden chairs to hang out and enjoy the view.
Nice place to get away from the business of the city and relax for a day. Ferry ride only $3 for 12 and older. Take your own bike or rent from there for $15 2 hours and ride around the whole island. Lots of space and yes to sit under and easy and relax. Nice one day getaway.
Please do not miss the sunset view. Most of the photographer will be staying for the sunset super shots. You can stay there for the whole day. It is good for cyclist, lovers, family, corporate picnic, everything fits. You can rent a tent for the night and stay at the island.
This is a great place for a family vacation on weekends.
Breathtaking views of New York City
