Grand LV Nails & Spa, Poughkeepsie NY

I am so disgusted with how my nails look. And when I pointed out what was wrong she acted like I was seeing things. Why do I have product all over my fingers? I am so annoyed with the lumps and crooked shapes. Also, it smells like pee in that salon and it was very hot no air circulating. Don't do it.

I have gone to Grand LV intermittently over many years living in the Hudson valley, a recent trip however left me ensuring I will never return. I booked an appointment for 5: 30pm to get my nails done after getting engaged as my normal (and fantastic) nail tech was fully booked and so she suggested them as a backup. I arrived early for the appointment around 5: 20 and waited for an available seat. At about 5: 40 two other customers arrived who also had a 5: 30 appointment. Rather than place me in the open seat they began to service the two customers who arrived after me and late for their appointments, the woman who had placed them came up to me and told me I would need to continue waiting at least another 15 minutes before being serviced when another chair opened. I promptly left.

I have many thoughts on why I was sidelined for those two incoming customers but whatever the reason this behavior is indicative of a regular pattern of unprofessional and problematic behavior by several of the staff members at this salon over the years. Grand LV has never been my first pick for nails in the area and now they won’t even serve as my last. There is only so much poor service and treatment one can receive before you stop providing a business additional opportunities and this was my final straw. I strongly advise against visiting Grand Lv and encourage you to take advantage of the many other wonderful nail salons/technicians in the area who are sure to treat all of their customers with consideration and respect and provide unparalleled quality nails and clean services.

I don't think I'll be coming back here. I had booked an appointment days in advance, and when I got there, I had to wait almost an entire two hours to be seen despite arriving 10 minutes early. Service was incredibly rushed and the lady who did my nails was very rough and kept tugging my fingers rather than just ask me to position myself the way she'd like, and I ended up not getting what I asked for at ALL. I showed a picture, but everything from the design to the color was completely wrong. She didn't even know what I meant when I asked for stiletto nails, and I had to show her. I got a small design on two nails and it ended up being $75.super disappointed. I don't want to be one of those people, but everyone who's gotten terrible service seems to be a person of color. I really will not be coming back here.

The salon is gorgeous. The techs are so nice and attentive. It is quiet and relaxing. It was one of my boyfriends first experiences getting his nails done. And he was so much happier than the last. Will come back!

It was my first time, in this business. They were very professional, kind, and welcoming. All these years I have been doing my nails I never felt like this happy. Thank you for making me feel very welcome at your business as an African American.

I have gone to Grand LV over the years and will no longer do so because in my experience, they do not give people of color good service. I spend a ton of money for a gel manicure & the color chips in a few days. You show the technician a photo of what you want, they say they can do it and then proceed to try to pressure you to do something else (which will cost more of course!) The owner's wife has a bad attitude, acted as if doing my nails was an inconvenience, was rushing through the process and not completing all the steps on each nail. On my final visit, she again did a horrible job on my nails and had the audacity to charge me more than what I was originally quoted. I will not give them another cent of my hard earned money. If I could give no stars I would. Buyer beware!

My mom and I come here every other weekend to get our nails done. All of the staff are so friendly and they make sure you have a great experience whenever you come in. I've never been dissatisfied with any service I've received here.

My nails look so naturally beautiful and elegant. The service is excellent and they truly cares about their customers. I have referred all my friends and everyone loves their services!

I come here every two weeks without fail. They did my nails and it was better than I even asked for:) They will treat you well. Literally perfect! I would 11/10 recommend!

Definitely my new favorite nail shop. They are very friendly & actually cares about your look. Ton of ideas in terms of designs. No rush. They have a lot of colors to choose from, the Ambience was worth it!

Every time I come here it's a wonderful experience. Everyone is always friendly. The places is always clean & wonderful music! This is my go to spot for getting my nails done! 10/10.

The customer service experience is also excellent. They take their time with each client and never cut corners, even when the shop is busy. Highly recommend!

Can I just say every time I go here I have a great experience the manager always answers the phone and gets me right in. I broke my nail and he got me in and out and 20 minutes! Love this place. And all the nail artist are amazing.

This nail spa is absolutely stunning, the customer service here is amazing! My pedicure was great and my classic manicure was great! I'm so upset I forgot the lady that took care of me, she was amazing. She took her time and did such an amazing job.

These ladies are nice. I think they are all nice in my opinion & they all do a great job. They take their time time and they all listed to what you want & how you like.

First this place is absolutely gorgeous. When I walked in there was about a 15 minute wait. The lady that did my nails was great and very accommodating. I have found a new nail shop and will definitely be back!
