Grand Prix Driving School, New York NY

The person who answered my call was NOT interested in my business, but after being persistent she agreed to book me a spot even though she complained that they were super busy.

That being said as you can see from my positive review I loved my driving instructor Augusto. He was 15 minutes early and gave me a call to let me know he had arrived. I asked if he wanted to get started early and we did so.

I was VERY nervous to be driving 16 years from getting my drivers license. I live in NYC so I have not had many reasons to practice driving.

Augusto was very calm even with me being quite concerned. We practiced and I got more and more comfortable driving.

For someone who waited years to get over her fear of driving, especially in the state of NY. Finally passed the permit exam and is eager to complete the next steps.
1. When I called, the phone was answered, but no response. I said hello and a woman responded "yes" in an attitude. When I asked if this is the driving school, again yes in an attitude. First thing first, when working for a company, you address the company's name as your greeting. Not responding to call as if I called your personal line.
2. I explained to the woman what I was inquiring about. She explained in a fast speed. I clarified back to her to understand the difference in the packages. She responded back "I just explained to you".   When I told her all I'm asking was a question to have a better understanding. She explained again in an attitude.
I lost interest in wanting to complete my 5-hour class and what this school have to offer after speaking to your receptionist. Customer service and the way you speak to people needs to be trained to individuals.

Augusto is a five star instructor. Without him, it would have been impossible to pass the test after waiting for three stressful hours. Perfect advice, great patience. Strongly recommend Augusto.

I had the pleasure of receiving instruction from both Vins and Augusto, two excellent driving instructors who took me through the road test. They were professional and personable. Augusto was able to polish my parallel parking to a fine diamond and it was perfect in the day. A great experience.

Easy scheduling, had a driving session with professor Perry the day before the exam and I passed without any mistakes!

My son, age 16 took a package including lessons and driving test. He had a consistent instructor (Augusto). For each lesson, he was made to feel confident but also challenged. Augusto was such a kind instructor and patient and also, most importantly, his driving ability increased rapidly. The administrative staff were also very helpful as, at times, we had to reschedule lessons due to his being away at school. On the final day of the test, my son unfortunately learned his grand-father had passed away. I took Gus aside and explained the situation. He somehow helped my son to make it to the test, focus and.he passed! We are very grateful and hope my daughter soon can take the course as well.

I took driving lessons with Augusto De Oliveira, he was such a helpful teacher and also a really cool guy, if you’re considering lessons from here make sure to choose him!

Best driving school! Classroom is clean comfortable, great location easy to get to - teacher gets straight to the point! I had Jeff as my driving teacher he was so sweet and patient! The lady who helped me register (I think she was the manager) was so nice! Everyone there makes you feel like you are family - and they give you confidence to pass the test! I passed it today took the road test in Maspeth - it was 10 minutes very easy! Highly recommend this place

Just one month ago I began driving lessons at Grand Priz Driving School with Jeff Valenzuela. Today I had my driving exam with New York State and I got my driver’s license. I am so thankful and grateful to Jeff because he is so professional, sweet, kind and friendly. I would definitely recommend Grand Prix School for everyone. They should be so lucky to have Jeff as their teacher. The staff at the school was both helpful and kind. I will miss them.

I had a good experience with Grand Prix, I did the 5 hour course a day after I registered online and they helped me book my road test after the 5hour class completed. I did an hour lesson with Augusto before the road test in Yonkers and he was very friendly, informative, and professional. After the test he was kind enough to drop me off at my home. The desk staff was also very helpful throughout the process and easy to deal with. I got my license within two weeks of passing my permit test. Thanks Grand Prix.

Honestly a fantastic experience. They are all very helpful and kind. I had my road test scheduled within 2 days of completing the 5 hour course. Top notch service. I highly recommend them.

Augusto was an great instructor and gave extremely good tips. Wouldn't have been able to pass my test without him!

William is literally the greatest human driving instructor that could ever potentially exist. Brilliant mind. He breaks things down. He is logical. He keeps things simple, while at the same time letting you know everything that you need to know in order to the pass the test. Amazing guy in general as well. Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to learn how to drive. He will drill the fundamentals into your mind while putting a smile on your face.

The experience was amazing, the driving instructor Augusto is the best you can get he is really great and teached me the best and safest method to drive and I passed on first time

This school no good they lair i putt a appointment for 5 hour pre listening course about 10 days before they said me your class is on 08/25/2017 confirmed but when i reached over there at time they said me today your class is cancelled now u need to resuduled i was very upset that me according to me i give only them -5 star in review

Passed road test in second time. I wasn't good but the instructor was really nice and my teacher thought me everything in two hour.

This morning i had my driving test and i pass immediately on my first road test, thanks for the help of the amazing teacher that i had AUGUSTO, he knew every little detail to make you become a good driver and great tips for parallel parking.without his help i wouldn't be able to do it.im forever grateful xx Raica
