Grandpa's Nursery & Gardens Inc. reviews
15Went by Grandpa's multiple times on my drives along the 104, I was always curious and I finally stopped with my partner recently. The plant section even during the winter is lovely, they definitely care for the plants they have with a 14 year old jade in the corner. I can't wait for the warmer months, the woman working said that all 4 greenhouses are open with each one corresponding to the sun/shade they get. If you pass by, definitely take a look at what they have.
My family comes here every December to purchase a potted evergreen tree to decorate and then plant in the spring. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, even laughing at my kids' self-titled "dad jokes. " They have lots of plants, trees, and any accoutrements you could think of, plus the expertise to answer any question you can throw at them.
Love the place! Friendly staff, competitive prices, and a large selection of everything you need for your gardens or landscape!
Nice selection of flowers. Workers there are very knowledged with what types of flowers, trees, shrubs.ect.would be best for you.
.
Always very helpful when looking for plants or garden supplies. Answers question and helps when trying to design an area of your yard
My first time there. Staff was helpful. Was pleasantly surprised to find they still had hollyhocks this late in the season. They have quite a variety and prices are reasonable.
My favorite place to go plant shopping! Great plants and great employees! I will be back and bring friends and family. Thank you!
I like going here to browse the plants and get stuff for my home and garden. They have a nice selection and friendly staff. I enjoy coming here for gardening needs.
Nice nursery with large selection of perennials, bushes and trees. Early n n the season they also have nice hanging plants and annuals. Fair pricing, good selection.
First week of April so they're just getting started. I did get a nice flat of Violas and a Pelargonium Cinnamon that had been overwintered in the greenhouse. Very friendly and helpful staff. They also have mushroom compost for $40 per cubic yard.
Amazing selection, prices and most all customer service. I was so glad I drove the extra few minutes to check them out!
Grandpa put in a beautiful lawn for me, raked and seeded, came out perfect in all respects!
Has anyone had issues with Grampas Nursery and their plowing over the winter? We called them once to plow us out in Feb. They proceeded to plow right into our front yard, told us they would fix it, and now are not returning our calls.
So, I went down there to talk to the manager, owner; who said that WE told the plow person where to go, (like we would tell him to plow our lawn), and their policy is that lawn issues are a given. (I could understand if it was just the edges), and they do not come out to fix damaged yards for free. This basically means that the plower can be as careless as he pleases, and they can come out and charge you again to fix their mistakes. They did not at anytime discuss this "policy" with us at anytime until we asked them to fix it. I am livid!
I spend alot of money down there every spring, and throughout the year, as does my son. You can bet that they won't be seeing my business, or any of my families, ever again.

Bought half a face cord of wood. The price was great and she helped us stack the wood in my car. Fantastic.
Wow. This is a 1 stop place for garden needs. They might even be landscapers too. The outside was beautifully organized they had many mums and fall decor. The inside was almost empty it is October in New York afterall. The things they did have were spectacular. And GIGANTIC. Being a visitor I couldnt carry a big plant home but I could get an angel trumpet baby that I am going to love in Southside Virginia.
The young lady that was working there was well informed and super helpful. And altho we were wearing our masks, I could see in her eyes a genuine smile.
