Grey Gables, Slingerlands NY

The house and property are gorgeous! Our hosts were very attentive, friendly, and thought of everything we may need. They answered any and every question we had and made great recommendations on what to do during our visit! It made for unforgettable experiences. I could not imagine staying anywhere else and we plan to be return guests next time we are in Albany!

My partner and I stayed at the famous Grey Gables last week and had the absolute loveliest time.
Between exploring in the woods, bananagramm-ing, chasing after chickens, and making home-cooked meals, it was extremely difficult to say goodbye.

The level of hospitality and attentiveness Kim and Mike provide is a white glove standard like no other. It was immaculately cleaned upon entry, and had everything we could possibly need while on vacation. Staying here was like home away from home, but better.and far more serene.

The best hosts, beautiful history, gorgeous scenery. There is so much to like about staying at Grey Gables! I would live here if I could!:)

Grey Gables is a true treasure! From the beauty of the woods, to the exquisite decorations throughout the house, Grey Gables is a wonderful getaway stay. It is so obviously loved so much by Mike and Kim, and their two adorable dogs! They were incredibly helpful throughout our stay, always making sure we were having a great time.

My boyfriend and I slept in the Bicycle room and oh my gosh, that bed was heaven! I haven't slept that well in a while. Not only was the room cozy, and the bed comfy, but the bliss of how quiet it was really made it a great night. You couldn't hear a thing outside, which is something I am not used to living in the city! All the bedrooms are perfectly decorated and well taken care of. There are TVs in the bedrooms so you can relax and watch a quick movie, or enjoy the silence with a book.

It was great to find a pet friendly home that wasn't obviously pet friendly. They really take care of it and make sure their guests will be comfortable, whether they have pets or not!

I highly recommend sitting on the porch with your morning coffee, or a glass of wine in the evening. Perhaps a night time fire in the back while taking in all the trees and animals nearby!

We will be staying here again for sure!

We stayed at Grey Gables for 5 nights in October 2020, leading up to our wedding in the Albany area.

Mike and Kim were first class hospitality from the first moment we arrived until we departed. The house is beautiful & charming and provides ample space & flexibility. And the backyard and back deck were great. There was even a freak thunderstorm in the area that temporarily knocked out power and Mike & Kim had a generator for us to use until the power company restored power.just a sign of how they go above and beyond.

We would highly recommend their house.
