Pizza Restaurant Grimaldi's reviews
16Was on a night bike ride with some friends and we shared a pie.it was delicious. The waitress was very accommodating and nice.
I ordered this on Uber eats and the margarita pizza was great! 5 out of 5. However, the chocolate cheesecake I ordered wasn’t exactly what I ordered. I was a bit upset because the picture of the cheesecake looked totally different in person. If they didn’t have any available they could’ve just refunded the cheesecake. Instead, I paid for a cheesecake I didn’t even want which was so inconvenient for me. And I’ve saw a review on Yelp of someone with the chocolate cheesecake that was exactly like the picture on Uber eats. So I’m assuming that they ran out of that and just gave me a knockoff version.
We had the clam pizza and Brooklyn bridge pizza with the trio. All so good. My BF from Bronx and he loves this place

Review begins here.
I have always walked by Grimaldi's and never got the chance to buy a pizza from them.
The other night I figured "why not" 1 AM in the morning I walked over.
I didn't know what was good so I asked the young man at the front what he recommended.
He was very polite, and reminded me of what service at restaurants use to be.
I got recommended the Limelight Pizza. I'll never forget that it contained "vodka sauce"
The service was VERY GOOD.
I suppose the only down side was I couldn't buy per slices at 1 AM in the morning (thats about it)
Would I go back here: Absolutely YES
Is it worth the money: "I think so" 15 USD for the lime light.
I personally would order out from here and have it with friends or family at home.
The pizza reminds me of a good old fashion pizza i had with my family when i was a kid.
Love that they are open super late since I pulled up on the spot around 2am during our pandemic season. I must admit I was filled with ire the lack of slices for sales. You too might grow miffed when now you must purchase a small pie (that will set you back ~$26 smackers).
My nephew from Cali, but now sophomore at University of Chicago was in town and desired a NY slice, what was I to do? Not many options were afforded. Long gone are the days when this city never slept. It seem the Isle of Manhattan rolls its sidewalks up by ten in the evening on school nights.
Nonetheless the service was excellent by a young fetching, attentive Asian gentleman (sorry I did not get your name!) and my nephew was very happy with his NY slice. Ive gone on long enough fussing about this small pie, when it is the memories that are priceless.
- - - Kind of amusing that the old notorious Limelight nightclub / sanctum of sin, around the corner from a bathhouse is now a mall and an open late pizza shoppe. Whelp! At least the pie was good!
Why didn't my pizza look like the other review photos. 2 star because the ingredients and taste is good, but $25 for a cheese pie and half the pizza is crust and lacking of sauce or cheese. That's pretty sad. It used to be much better and the cheese pie was $14. Add topping now and you'll have a $35 pizza. No thanks.
Atmosphere was fairly drab. Service was decent at best. Pizza’s a 6/10 - the mozzarella was a nice touch. A little pricey.
Very bad pizza and doesn't live up to the Brooklyn branch at all. The pizza was average at best but altogether it was soggy and disappointing. The restaurant was also quite dirty
This is one place as a foreigner I can highly recommend for visitors in New York. The main entrance doesn't really stand out from the street unless you pay close attention to the signage. The red door leads down to a rabbit hole (literally). Think of this place like a TARDIS pizzeria.
Awesome service, look and feel from the team delivering excellent pizza. Especially love the mural.
Absolutely delicious pizza in a relaxed environment. Tablecloth needs to be cleaned ir removed, that's my only con. Will be back!
One of the best Pizza's I have had in New York! Thin based and absolutely delish. They don't sell slices, only full pies.
Too much cheese, soggy pizza, only krusty edges, flavour was average, OVERPRICED, 25 usd for a pizza with 1 drink
Pizza is good but there is no wine or beer unlike what the description says. Basic place and cash only.
My favorite pizza of all time! This place is pizza simplicity at it's best. You sit down, you order a pizza, you eat that pizza, no by-the-slice, cash only.
Pizza was amazing. Thin, crispy crust, sauce perfectly seasoned, and the mozzarella cheese delicious.
The food was good here, but the place just seemed a little.grimy. However, this is one of the only places open late in the area. I was skeptical but when the pizza arrived, glad we came. It says cash only on the sign outside but I saw someone pay with a credit card. The pizza was well cooked, huge, and delicious.
