An ok grocery store. The prices are a bit high but the store is always well stocked. If it was more reasonably priced I would go more often. Would recommend if you are in a rush and don’t mind the higher prices.

So expensive and barren compared to most Manhattan grocery stores, a TOTAL Waste of grocery shopping time. G'Bye!

I have been shopping at this place because of the convenient venue, fresh produce, and a decent range of beer at good prices. The team was so kind to welcome us, too. The service was terrific. It's highly recommended!

Small. A bit pricey but convenient for last minute needed items and lottery machine. Employees are nice and not busy at all.

So much is past the expiration date, often by over 6 month. Feels dirty inside and the produce is often rotten

This is specifically for the Chelsea location. I have not been to any other locations. The produce is overpriced and usually not fresh. It's kind of gross actually. Go to Whole Foods or order groceries online.

This grocery store is extremely underwhelming. They are priced at the higher end of groceries in the area but the deli and general selection quality are low end. I'm not sure how this chain stays in business. Brooklyn Fare is 10x better value.

I wanted to know if you were hiring cashiers for 225 9th Avenue (store 545) location? My name is Teresa.

It's very difficult to say anything nice about Gristedes. To say that they are overpriced is putting it mildly. You will encounter prices here on everyday items that are simply unimaginable. With so many other options in the neighborhood, not to mention online shopping, there is absolutely no reason anyone should subject themselves to this kind of gouging. To be avoided at all costs.

Absurdly overpriced. $5 for a pound of strawberries, versus $3 at Ideal market or Trader Joe’s.

It is a great location but most items priced higher than other local grocery stores, like many Geistedes. Yet clean & fairly hospitable, great deli section with seating which is a nice surprise for new customers & a relief for those who need a break and a cup of hot coffee. The only parking lot, which is right there, I think is for tenants living in surrounding store.

Reasonably sized convenience store with good selection, including some good beer options (why I stop here on my way to Rocket Pig).

Gristides (all locations) offer rip-off prices in a depressing, outdated shopping environment. Good luck finding what you are looking for, because the haphazard arrangement of the floor leaves most people searching endlessly for basic items. Shop here if you are desperate for something, in a last minute pinch, & you can't make it to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's.

Nice neighborhood supermarket but as expensive as the Whole foods only a couple of blocks away. They do sell bagels at discounted price at end of the day. Be careful though, the cachiers seem to regularly over look the sale price- specially of San Pellegrino, cheese and other foreign items-and charge the patrons full price.

Great store, a lot of varied food, the best fruits and vegetables around, a little in the expensive side.

Seem to have a monopoly on grocery stores in Manhattan now. Wide selection but overpriced for a dull non Gourmet grocery store.
