Guardian Life reviews
11 Worst insurance policy i have ever had. I wish i could give them 0 stars.
Only covers $1000 of claims everything above is out of pocket - in essence that is not an insurance policy as i have no peace of mind if i ever need emergency i wont have to worry about the cost.
The sugar on top is that they wont allow dentists to do full deep cleanings, only half the mouth at any one time? What? !
They also deny claims for no reason and you have to fight them.
You're literally better off with NO insurance than these clowns.
One of the best companies with many years of experience in the life insurance area I highly recommend it! Don't forget to download the App.
Garden is the worst. They canceled my policy through Le payment after paying premiums for 20 years.
They never sent me my check for my dentist claim (which says approved online). I keep trying to call them and the service just hangs up. Absolutely despicable. If your company uses this service it’s a red flag.
All I can say, if there is another option, please choose it. If I could give no stars, I would as they are just that bad. Guardian is the kind of company that does any and everything to wiggle out of their responsibilities.
My family has been a life insurance customer for a couple of generations now. They do pay out the policies; however, in trying to update an account owner and beneficiary headquarters lost the lengthy paperwork and it had to be done all over again so I cannot recommend them. Also the independent salesperson does not return phone calls.
My company has dental insurance through this outfit.
I have been on hold now for a full hour, haven't had an opportunity to talk to a human being.
In the past, I have experienced this kind of hold times also, and, they have a corporate culture of buck-passing and silos - one dept can't talk to the other dept, it's up to ME to go back and forth.
Absolutely ridiculous.
About what I'd expect from a New York Wall Street company focused on quarterly profit and not customers, though.
Employee with Guardian for benifits. Worst I have ever experienced in terms of customer service. No matter what time I call it takes over an hour to speak to someone. I've tried calling after they open, before noon, 2pm, 3pm, before they close, almost always over an hour on hold.
Customer Service-Poor
Just got off the phone with Guardian Dental and I am so hot under the collar! Called the 1-800 number. The gentleman talked as if he was a robot and I had to interrupt him to get a simple question in. I informed him I was signing up for insurance through my company and needed to know if my current Dentist was in their network. I told him my dentist name but he came back with. "I need to know his location. " So I told him the city and he stated he could not locate the dentist without knowing his zip code! I told him I don't know the zip code if he could look it up on his end. He said he could not help me and if I wanted to know this info I needed to help him by providing that zip code. I asked him if that was the best customer service he could give me if I was trying to sign up with his company and he stated that was how they operate and without all that information he could not help me! I let him know that no further help was needed and that he just answered my question if I should do business with them, no due to poor customer service. Then he asked if there was anything else and I said no goodbye. For shadowing is something! If little effort is spent to gain your business then imagine once they have your business and money how will they treat you? Hhmmmm! DA
NOT a US VETERAN FRIENDLY company. I recently took vacation from work due to struggles with PTSD. I had no idea that it would turn into a short term disability situation. Guardian refused to grant me short term disability while in therapy stating that I wasn’t physically working when I put in for the claim. They take money from your paychecks and then don’t want to give you anything. Currently going to fight them with a veteran service organization. These people are crooks and shouldn’t be allowed on American soil. I put them in the category with the terrorists.
