Taco Restaurant Gueros reviews
16I love my neighborhood taco spot.every option is delicious and the customer service is friendly and on point. Lisa is my favorite manager
I visit Brooklyn once per year and spend the rest of the year salivating in anticipation of getting these tacos, margaritas, and queso again.
Have been here multiple times and the food is always good, and the place itself has a good vibe to it
Delicious vegetarian taco options (they had four or five different ones) using high quality products. Staff was friendly, as well.
Excellent Tex-mex. Love the queso. Tacos are not my favorite in the city overall, but the best Tex-mex style tacos I’ve had!
I have no idea the rave of this place where their tacos are miniature and blah. Not a kosher experience.
Ordered the shrimp tacos for the first time because my fav spot wasn’t open at the time, wrong decision I made. The taco place on park place down the block, across the nursing home makes better tacos.
Always looking for the best nachos in the world… these ones are about a 7/10. Excellent margaritas though, and awesome patio to chill on.
This place was very atmospheric, loved the lighting and the general vibe, however for the price, the food fell short. I got the steak quesadilla, and the quantity was good, but it was greasy to the point where it severely altered the flavor of the food, making it borderline unenjoyable. A thing of chips and guac was 12 dollars, probably a product of inflation, but painful nonetheless because it was only about 1/2 a cup of guac. However the salsa was delightful and my partner got the chicken tacos, which he reported were quite satisfactory.
Great and relatively fast food. Ordered 3 tacos: chorizo, fried chicken, and brisket. All three were great. The only gripe would be about the pricing ($4.50 avg each taco), but might be attributable to inflation or just because the place is in New York City.
Best taco spot in the city. Tacos are out of control good, lots of options from traditional to more fusion, drinks are awesome, chips are awesome. If you're dining in be prepared to stake out a spot to sit for a hot second or stand for a little while. But a great place to hang with a group or grab to-go and eat nearby.
Went in for a sit down meal. Ordered margs and regular nachos. Got the margs immediately and sat down to wait for the nachos. After about 45 mins I noticed that tables who sat after me were getting their orders before us, so I flagged a staff down and she said she'd look into the delay. Waited another 10-15 mins, some girls at the table next to us who also got their food before us despite coming later even commented "Y'all have been here for a long time. You should get something comped! " I went inside to ask what's up. The girl behind the register asked one of the line cooks if he had the order and he said "I never got this order" in Spanish. So the first person I flagged never said anything I guess. The girl said "It will be right out. " I asked if they could add steak as a courtesy and she said "No. You have pay. " I said, "We have been waiting 45 minutes. I speak spanish, I heard him say he never got the order. You lost our order. Some steak is the last you can do. " "No. You have to pay. " I said "I'll take a refund instead. " and she said, "Ok, but you drank the margaritas, so you don't get a refund for those. " Took my cash for the nachos and walked out. The girls outside asked what happened and I told them, they were like "what the hell, that's BS. " I don't understand why she didn't just give us the $4 topping after losing our order.
Best tacos in the area. I had the chorizo and hanger steak. My only criticism is they are small and I'd say about five would be a good meal for me. And that will cost around $30 or so which is quite a bit for small tacos. But they are delicious so I'd say this place will be a guilty pleasure.
Can't stop thinking about the chorizo. I want so much more.
This is one of my go-to places for tacos. If you live in the crown heights area near Franklin avenue then you're in for a treat. They have a variety of tacos including blackened catfish, fried Chicken, and then your more traditional Tacos. They also have a varied assortment of drinks including Mexican Cokes which require a bottle opener. They also have chips and salsa which is always a good addition to your tacos. As we approach the summer they have outdoor dining which is very covid restriction friendly, so do consider eating here if you're looking for good tacos. I often shop with my stomach and not my eyes, and often buy too many tacos. If you're looking for a good meal then two tacos should suffice. Do not be like me and buy four tacos when you're hungry.
I love the tacos and margaritas here. Fried avocado and jalapeño is phenomenal. It’s hard to find a decent vegetarian option at taco places. However I just got some today and they had no avocado in them lol, it was still really good tho. Tortillas are so fresh. Salsa is lackluster I would recommend the guacamole instead which is great. If you’re in the area you HAVE to make sure to stop by here.
Brooklyns hidden gem. I haven't been here in a while but when I lived in Brooklyn, my best friend and I were obsessed with coming here. They have the best nachos and the best queso ever, it's real cheese. I crave it all the time and wish I could be closer to go more often again.
I live in New Jersey now BUT. I still get my haircut every two weeks in Brooklyn. And, when I go…. Their has not been a single time I haven’t stopped by Gueros devour (2) tacos and a Mexican coke. If that is not loyalty, I’m really not sure what is. Excellent price. Fresh and flavorful tacos. I’ll take it every single day.
The Secret: Order before you get there.
