Guppy's Restaurant & Tavern, Bemus Point NY

We were visiting from out of town and we’ve been traveling for years. Always try and eat where the locals do. Guppy’s is THAT place. Excellent food, excellent beer menu and friendly folks taking care of you. I highly recommend Guppy’s!

Very laid-back atmosphere. Great decor.

We had the seafood chimichanga special. It was fantastic! Enough for dinner the next night as well. The corn cake is to die for as well as the pumpkin bread pudding.

My husband had the best beer battered fish fry and I had the: "To die for" Crispy Asian Wrap. All the staff were friendly and efficient. Ou can tell they're treated well. The owner had a smile on her face throughout the evening and sne knows what people want.good food, plenty of it and at an affordable price. The owner is amazing! Atmosphere is home town. We WILL be back!

Busy Saturday night. Waited about 1hr 15m for just 2 of us. Mac and cheese was nothing to write home about. Reminded me of just a regular pasta dish, not a 'mac & cheese'. Hubby liked his pasta dish. Waitress didn't come back to check in on us or ask/get us drink refills.

We came here for my wife's birthday recently. When we arrived, there was some confusion about seating. Make aure to check in with the host out front and let them know where you want to sit so they can put you on the waiting list. Once everything was cleared up and we were seated, it was a really great experience. The server was very polite and attentive. The food was delicious and great portion sizes. Overall we had a good experience. A special thanks to the owner who made sverything special for my wife and got us seated when she found out there was some confusion. We will be back in the winter to experience the heated ski lift tables.

Shared the big serving of tender mussels and excellent pepperoni calzone. Hot there early enough to get a private gondola. They also made a perfect black and tan with guiness and blue moon.

I used to come here all the time when I was a younger kid in the summer when we went to the lake house. (30 years ago)
Decided to take a drive out randomly tonight and we are so glad we did.

The owner is one of a kind. Took care of us from the outside waiting area when there were no tables and an hour wait. She got us apps and water and she was absolutely fantastic. We didn’t get to stay for dinner since the baby was getting fussy but we were absolutely thrilled with the service we received while we were there. Short staffed and they still were excellent to us! Highly recommending this place!

Love the food.phenomenal.but since the covid thing sit down wait was really long.take out should have been the plan from the get go.will be back but sit down was a lil much.

Great place! Service is excellent. Whoever owns it obviously cares A LOT and it shows. Service was good even when they were pretty darn busy. Food was, very good actually. Everything that came out looked and tasted amazing and didnt seem generic at all. All things I appreciate. My one complaint (2 actually) ? Southern Tier taps weren't working when we were there. Obviously not a permanent thing. But the other complaint? Its not horribly cheap. I generally don't mind paying for quality, but still Its a TAD pricey. I Know, thats partially out of thier control, but still.

I summary, worth going to. I will definitely go back.

Dinner was great, but dessert was disappointing. Dinner service was fine, but it felt like they forgot about us for dessert. It would have been better without the road construction. I would go back but will be skipping dessert.

What a fun place! The 4 cheese macaroni and cheese is exceptional! Great drinks and friendly staff. We loved our server, Maya!

Fun place and really good food! Midori blueberry was a delicious drink and the white chicken spinach stromboli is HUGE and delicious!

Cute little place on a hill, great food, loved the gondola cars to sit in to eat the owner was very accomodating

Everyone knows the “cheers” feeling when walking into a bar / restaurant. This is definitely the place! The owner Christy is very passionate and proud of the product she produces day in and day out. I truly was extremely impressed with the service, atmosphere and how welcoming the staff was for someone ordering a simple beer, shot and a small take out order of the famous Hawg wings! Its a must visit if ur in the area! Especially all the KOA visitors, you cant go wrong! Ah-salute!

My husband and I were staying nearby and needed somewhere to eat dinner. We happen to come across Guppy's and couldn't have had a better experience. Even in the middle of a storm, the staff did an excellent job checking on us in the gondola. The food and drinks were all amazing (loved the fish tacos & Guppy bowl!) and we were so impressed by the overall atmosphere! We can't wait to come back when we are in the area!

We cannot say enough good things about Guppy’s! Came here after a soggy walk in the park with the dogs, we were seated on the pavilion and our dogs were greeted and given water bowls immediately! The waitress, Natalie, was fabulous- quick, attentive, had suggestions when we needed them, and was just so happy and fun to talk with! Everyone was so kind and attentive. Bathroom was clean and well stocked.
Now for the FOOD! We had the mussels, (garlic butter goodness!) butterflied shrimp, bbq pork Mac’n’cheese, and the chicken Cajun pasta. All of them were so good! Huge portions, comfort food at its finest that leaves you satisfied and so happy:) a great variety in the menu, food and beverages alike.
I also had a blueberry mule that was wonderful- will absolutely make a point to come back if we are ever in the area again! Thanks to the whole team for making our dinner a special one!

It was my first time having dinner here with my family. The place is pleasant, and the waitress was friendly. I absolutely love the food here.

Both the food and service were very good. Very pleased with our experience and will definitely return again soon. I recommend checking this place out!

The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. We brought our dog with us and the staff made sure he had water at all times. They even brought him a dish of vanilla ice cream. I highly recommend a visit to Guppy's.
