Checked in, was given a wristband. All beds full. Person waiting before me strolled out to have a cigarette every 15 minutes. But I bet she was considered more of an emergency than me. Only blood coming out of my urethra and intense pain but obviously not an emergency to them. I pissed out more blood in the waiting room toilet after an hour and a half which relieved some symptoms. Decided since I wasn’t going to be seen I might as well leave. Now I see they billed my insurance for $245.75. I guarantee my insurance won’t pay this bill. This “hospital” is a disgrace.

The receptionist here is absolutely rude and rolled her eyes when she couldn’t hear me, I don’t get the point of drawing blood go back to the waiting room do an xray and go back in the waiting room, it’s in my opinion very unorganized. It takes 3+ hours just to get seen and sometimes people cannot wait that long. I am very very disappointed.

Do NOT go this this Gutherie hospital. The ER doctors are not kind, they do not offer help when your family member is being transferred and your are from out of state with no vehicle. Staff is NOT helpful and has a major attitude. Seriously the WORST hospital I’ve ever been too.

Let me start by stating that they did help me.eventually 5 to 6 hours later, i actually lost track of time. I went to them because I was in excruciating pain in the abdominal region. I'm talking tears streaming,
teeth clenching pain. I broke my ankle once, and I was hit by a M929 dump truck once.nothing compared to this, it actually broke me to the point I was actually
asking them to please help me. Their procedure seems to be to check you it, then triage you. Seems good, but the triage part failed miserably. There was only one other person there in as much pain as I was and they took her before me (a good thing, yet she waited a long time as well), but everybody else there acted as if they were there for a normal office visit. When did the EMERGENCY ROOM become the office visit room? I followed what seems to me to be the logical course of action, I called urgent care first and THEY directed me to the ER. Anyway, that's my experience. I'll not go back there again. However it's not like we have many choices here.

I visited Guthrie Corning Hospital Emergency Room in the early morning (about 3pm) on June 19 as I had very several abdominal pain as a result of kidney stones. I waited for 1hr 20 mins, nobody took care of me. I have my son asking what's really going on. We were told that we might need waiting for 5 more hours! Finally we drove to Arnot Hosptial Emergency Room. I was hospitalized in about 5mins, and the doctors and nurses gave me quick treatment and I was discharged in about 7am.

Spent over 2.5 hours waiting to see if my boy needs a stitch in his lip or not before finally leaving. Do not come here for emergency care!

Dr. Ovedovitz was extremely caring, compassionate, and efficient in his care to my Family. The Nurses were well staffed and checked in frequently.

I had to take my daughter there this morning due to her being very sick. She was absolutely miserable. Every nurse and doctor that came in to see her were extremely patient and kind. Anytime someone came in she’d start crying and screaming. They were very gentle and kind and made her more at ease.

I wish there were a zero star option for this place. It was pretty efficient to get your payment, but not getting you a room. You better think twice before you go, because you may have to wait for 5+hours to get your “emergency” care

Worst hospital I've been to. Came to the ER with chest pains and high BP. I sat in the waiting room for over two hours without being called.

Wouldn't even give 1 star been sitting in waiting room with daughter for 3 hours.upon arriving she was so dizzy and lightheaded couldn't walk had to be wheeled in.head feels like it's gonna explode shaking uncontrollable they said she couldn't lay down.this is definitely an emergency but obviously not enough to be seen

My wife went in for with vomiting and diarrhea issues. Put us in a room and no one came for over 3 hours. When doctor stopped in, he stayed long enough to say that he had seen this a lot in the last 2 or 3 weeks and all the blood work comes back negative so no idea what it is. He did do blood work for her but all negative. Also gave her an IV in case of dehydration. Never saw the doctor again. It took us 8 hours for everything which is totally unacceptable. The reason they gave is because it was a holiday and they were short staffed. They were going to call in a prescription but never done. Called the next day at 6: 30 and the nurse said she would get back to me.suggested calling my primary and the offices were closed that day! I called back at 3: 30 and after being on hold for 15 minutes the nurse called in the prescription. Not a very professional visit!

If you want to go through unnecessary trauma then this is the place. They will torture you for no reason even for the illness which wasn’t your fault. They don’t have advance treatments and at the end they’ll stress you out and blame you for having a health condition. I’m 7 months pregnant and was traumatized to the extent that I had to transfer to the different hospital. Specially Dr Gordon, she made comments about my baby which no parent could stand to hear. To all the pregnant ladies, try to avoid Dr Gordon for any appointments if you want a happy and healthy pregnancy. She practically forced me to get admitted even though my condition was treatable with proper medication at home. She didn’t even ask for my say. Pathetic.

Very horrible experience at the hospital. The doctor came to my room coughing and sneezing. He did wear a mask but he uses his bare hand to touch the mask when he coughs and sneezes. He did not get a COVID test despite walking around with upper respiratory symptoms. I am here to be treated for infection and the last thing I want to get is COVID from the hospital.

Absolute misery. If you have a real emergency go somewhere else. Left after 6 hours of not being seen by anyone
