I called to make a reservation, but they were impatient. In the first minute I was trying to locate the location on the map, he hung up my reservation and didn't say anything sorry. I'm glad I found out about this in the booking process.please be patient^^

Ans is truly an artist. He was meticulous and very detailed with his treatment of my hair (balayage and cut). I never felt like the process was rushed. The before and after speaks for itself. Ans was also very kind and he explained what a realistic outcome for my hair would be. He also gave me useful tips for styling it. Will definitely be back and highly recommend!

I went in to see Terry for a haircut, I had grown my hair out for almost a year and a half to two years and was not sure what hairstyle I should go for, so I asked Terry for his professional opinion on what would look good. He was great and very professional by taking his time cutting my hair. From this I could tell he valued each customer's experience and it shows! I absolutely dig my new haircut. Thank you Terry!

Great price in the area. Wasn’t ‘suggested’ to do anything crazy to my hair after the simple cut and stylings. They even told me my hair still showed a bit damaged from my last perm about 10 months ago so it’s better to hold off consider doing it again.

Came here three times and totally disappointed at the haircut and service every time. For the first visit, I arrived on time and had to wait half an hour for the hairdresser to come to work for the appointment! For the 2nd and 3rd time, lots of little hair was still left on my face/neck after the haircut and I had to run around town like a crazy person. Also during the 3rd visit, my hair was NOT even washed before the haircut simply coz they said they were "too busy" to wash it. The haircut quality was among the worst in my lifetime! Please re-learn the basic techniques (e.g. Cutting layers rather than chunks) and study aesthetics of hairstyles to stay in business longer.

I was naive enough to believe the bad haircut/service was just a one-time thing (shame on me). Totally wrong and never coming back again. I hardly give long reviews, esp.bad ones, but businesses need to hear complaints and learn and improve!

This place is the best. I went in after getting my hair botched at another salon to see if someone could salvage the crime scene on my head. I had Jay, who explained in detail what had been done to my hair and where the other salon went wrong, and what he could do to fix it. Not only that, but he gave me a detailed walk through of how to make my damaged brittle hair softer and healthier. I walked in with brittle dark grey streaky hair and walked out with a baby soft gorgeous chestnut balayage. Not only that, but after 2 months of using his hair care instructions my hair is softer and shinier than its ever been. It’s unlikely I’ll ever go to another salon besides &.

Worst experience ever! So I stepped into the store, everything seems normal. Then I was assigned to a hairstylist, so I sat down and started chatting with my hairstylist about what kind of hair style I wanted to have, then the receptionist came to me and told they wanted to take my hairstylist to serve another customer who only speaks English and gave me a new hairstylist who does not speak English but speaks Mandarin (I am also a Mandarin speaker). The new hairstylist seems like a novice but I agreed to switch my hairstylist reluctantly. So now, My hair is a complete disaster. It is hard to tie all my hair up because the hang is too short, and it is wired to loose the hair down because it does not really have a style. I will never ever go to this place again.

I did a very casual haircut elsewhere and went here to fix it. Ben helped me and explained how to treat my hair. He showed me the correct way to blow dry it and he gave me good suggestions. I enjoyed the experience. It’s a small place so better to make an appointment.

Really great service. I had Tina as a hairdresser and she walked me through all the steps and told me what my hair can handle. She worked meticulously to get all the details in my balayage hair job. Really liked the service. Thanks!

Amazing and meticulous cut by King. I hadn’t cut my hair in over a year so I wanted to make sure I went to the right place and &Hair Lounge was perfect. King listened to my request to keep my hair very long, while adding style and texture to it. He was also a delight to talk to. Thank you!

I got my hairs colored here. They were able to handle my hair and make them great. No breakage and i got lot of compliments. Every hair stylist here is great. I see lot of customers sitting there and looking great. They are doing fantastic job.

The staff is incredibly nice, and the actual hairdressers are very skilled. I find that this place is better at styling Asian hair, compared to other places.

This review is solely for Ans. If you're going to & Hair Lounge for coloring or cut, I highly highly recommend Ans. He is a true artist and never rushes the process, ensuring that every strand of hair is cut and colored to perfection. Make sure to book early though as his appointments are sometimes fully booked a month out.

I was able to book an appointment without a problem, which was great. It was my first time at hair lounge, so I did not know what to expect. In the past, I have had good and bad experiences with new salons. Terry cut my hair and it turned out great. He is very skilled and he cares about every little detail. I had about 5-6 inches cut off. I initially wanted to dye my hair black, but he told me the color would fade within a short amount of time. I appreciate how honest he was with me. I am happy I found this salon. Ask for Terry!

After reading reviews, I decided to book an appointment with King and I couldn't be happier that I did. He did such an amazing job making my super damaged hair healthy again, while helping me maintain the length I wanted. I'll absolutely be coming back to see King again soon!

I go to hair lounge ever time I visit NYC. They clearly know how to cut Asian hair and the staff here are super friendly. I always leave with an awesome haircut
