I came in very nervous after a year and a half of buzzing my hair at home, and I clearly made Dylan nervous too. I also received two really important phone calls while I was supposed to be in the chair and kept interrupting him, I was definitely not a great client. Dylan was very patient and kind, but didn't lie or cover the fact that I wasn't treating him properly, which I appreciate. He offered to reschedule, but I don't get a lot of chances to get out by myself. On top of all that, I freaking love the cut he did on me, it was really subtle and it's washed out great. Great experience.

I want to leave a review for Jordy, who is a new colorist at Hairrari in East Village. My hair was a mess from pandemic box dye and a washed out dye job. Jordy saw through all this and did miracles with my hair. A couple of days before she contacted me to hear about what I was looking for, leaving several messages until she reached me. Jordy did a shadow root in a beautiful plum color and were able to bleach my hair and dye it into a bright red. Strangely enough my hair does not feel damaged after. It is easily the best dye job I ever had. I then got a haircut by Maggie, who was equally great. We had a discussion about masculine and feminine haircuts, and how hairstylists are taught binary thinking throughout their training. Maggie was able to inject enough "masculine" cutting techniques into my hair for me to feel comfortable, which almost never happens. The whole hair salon has a great atmosphere, and customers younger and older were treated equal and left happy. Thank you for your professionalism and showing how the work is done.

I had a bad haircut experience about 4 years ago and have been very nervous about having someone I don't know touch my hair. I did some research and Hairrari seemed like a great fit. I made a last minute appointment for a same day cut with Chloe and I cannot tell you how happy I am. Chloe is new to Hairrari but it's apparent that she has been cutting hair for a long time. She was so friendly and kind, and took the time to go through the references I brought to get a clear idea of what I was looking for. Throughout the haircut she described what she was doing, made sure I was comfortable, and gave me styling tips. Chloe is now my go-to stylist and I feel so lucky to have found her!

I got a balayage done by Dustin & had a wonderful experience. I really appreciated he took the time to ask questions to get exactly what I wanted. I even had some dyed blonde hair he blended into the look. Very talented and kind. I'm so pleased with the results.

Ellie has been cutting my hair for years and I am so happy she now has a home at Hairrari in the East Village! I've been going to her for my fades (including skin fades) and even recently when I have been growing my hair out longer she has done amazing. Did I mention that she's so fun to chat with too? I've recommended her to so many of my friends and they keep going back!

The hairdressers here really do a fantastic job. My hair is a little problematic, but they still gave me the look I asked for flawlessly. I've been going to them for 3 years now. Would definitely recommend!

Decided to try out this place after having bad experiences at other places. Was extremely nervous since my hair is hard to control and make it look good but Elisa was absolutely incredible and knew exactly what to do for my hair type. Definitely will be back ASAP

I received a haircut and shampoo from Daniel Braaten. The haircut, I must say, was exceptional and near perfect. Daniel and everyone at Hairrari are friendly and treat their customers very well. The setting itself was very nice, with all the necessary amenities (seating, reading material, candy, etc) provided for the customers looking to get a great and affordable (for the east village) haircut. After coming here, you will forward to getting another haircut at Hairrari.

I had basically never had a good hair experience until I came here and was always dreading getting my hair cut. But! Not anymore! I’ve had Kel cut my hair a bunch of times (always some New Different Style I want) and they always do an impeccable job and are so so friendly and kind. I am so grateful to have found them! I don’t live in NYC anymore but I fully plan to come back sometimes for haircuts from Kel.

Hairrari is awesome: talented stylists and a very chill vibe. I usually go to Kel who takes such care with each haircut and has such enthusiasm for their career.

Sara gave me the best haircut I've ever had. She is the most perfectionist human being I have ever met. She literally wouldn't let me leave without my hair being perfect and easy to style. I live on the West Coast now but will have to plan a trip back to NYC for my next haircut!

Honestly the worst haircut I've ever had in my life. I asked for a trimming to the back of my hair and explicitly told Garrick that I wanted to keep as much of my hair as possible. I booked him specifically because the website stated he knew how to work with curly hair, which he absolutely does not. He cut my hair as he would straight hair, and now it will literally take me probably about a year to grow back. Very disappointed. Purple shirt picture is of before and maroon after.

Morgan cut my hair and was super helpful and did a really great job. The store itself is a little too small, but the staff were all pleasant and welcoming.

Been going to Maria at the Bushwick location for about 8 months. It’s always a great time. Always a great cut. Always a great conversation. Everyone at the shop as been incredibly personable and professional. Not one critique or negative comment from this guy. They do some really unique cuts as well as traditional. Not a damn thing they can’t handle.

Morgan is great! I've been going to her for about two years and she's never given me a bad cut. She also trims my beard and keeps me looking fresh. The entire staff is great and the shop is super relaxed. I'm so glad I found them - I'll never go anywhere else in the city!

Best 40 dollar men's haircut of my life. Pricey but worth it. I won't try another place ever. All the stylists I've tried thus far are amazing. (I'm a walk in kind of guy). You won't be disappointed.

I first walked into Hairrari in their first few weeks after opening. I haven't gotten my hair cut elsewhere since. That was 3 years ago. Magda, who started it, is a brilliant hairdresser. Worth booking online with her directly even if you have to wait a few weeks for an appointment. Also Morgan is great. Such a pleasant group, fun music, free drinks, and most importantly great haircuts.
