Hak Box, New York NY

Southern Chinese street food that brings me home. The rice rolls are super thick and filled with spam (?) and the toasted sesame seeds on the outside provide a great crunch. The tofu is layered with many sauces, some of which I could not identify, but one smelled fishy/stinky. A new experience, but the overall flavor was light enough that I enjoyed it.

Was so happy to learn that someone was able to bring back my childhood comfort foods, Nam Fung rice rolls and tofu. And it's even better than I remembered it to be. I'm so impressed with Hak Box keeping the quality, taste, and texture so good and consistent. The owner is also very nice! He waited for us when we couldn't get there in time before closing and that means so much to me and my cravings!

Good food, good service.items are pretty much the same as the OG "south wind" restaurant.

Nostalgia foods! Hak dumplings are my favorite! Yum! Hak roll is very good and fresh too but different from regular rice crepes! Hak tofu is for the acquired taste
