Halal Bites reviews
15Like others stated, they seem to dislike white people. Guy kept telling us he couldn't make multiple things as it would take too long. Food was good, but I will not go back. Wish it was still Cosmo's!
This is my favorite place to get food in the 607 by a mile. The chicken over rice and Chicken Gyro are INSANELY good. Pair it with the white and red sauce and you've got an unbeatable meal.
That’s place was good. I know them last three years. But today I visit the restaurant and I have the new employee there who is not good for public service. Owner must be removed that person if they want to run the business like before. Sorry to publish the truth experience in public place.
The man at the counter doesn't appear to like white people, or at least this one. He was friendly with other customers, called them brother. Scowled at me, and naturally I was served last, and when I thanked him for my food, he ignored me.
I could not stop eating my chicken and lamb shawarma, it was too delicious to put the fork down. Next thing you know, it's gone and it was not a small portion. Amazing food. I don't even like beans, yet the bean pie was great as well.
This place reminds me of a halal type joint in NYC. The falafel alone is worth the trip and everything we had was solid. The prices are very fair and we had lunch for two for $20 and had leftovers.
The best halal food you can find in the area. Authentic, delicious flavors and a warm and friendly environment. I drive 30 minutes each way to pick up the food.that's how good it is
New hire isn't great. I haven't had an issue here until today, and I've been coming here for over 3 years. I asked for extra hot sauce maybe 3 or 4 times, but he didn't put any on. He also put a way smaller portion of chicken than it usually comes with. Past experiences here have been great, so this has been really disappointing.
Not really a place you'd want to stay and eat at. But they are moving to a new location later this year. The food is amazing and very affordable. One of my favorite restaurants in the area.
This place food taste wise is impressive, considering its Halal and have Desi touch to Gyro (chicken, meat or kabob over rice).
Unfortunately service standard is worse, i visited twice and realized i was charged extra for plates 50 cent, and for dip carry out separate 50 cents agains.
Unusual practice but be aware and do check final bill, hope no surprises like us.
Credit Card noticed there is extra fees added as well, another surprise.
So overall these adhoc charges really made my experience bad, sharing out so others are aware!
Ever get sick of food? Same stuff over and over? Ever had a favorite place to eat and then they change something and the foods not as good? Me too.but. I have never had a bad meal here.as far as I'm concerned this it the preeminent place to eat in the triple cities.not up for discussion.lamb/chicken over rice!
Great halal food, great service, cozy environment. Took a break in a small town after a long drive and discovered this gem. They have lot of different dishes. I had their lamb on rice, and the lamb was tender and juicy. I was surprised by how good it was despite being in a small town with low traffic. The portion size was generously large, and for the price, it was a bargain. The staff were very nice, they prepared the meal very quickly as we told them we were in a rush. Even then, the quality was top notch.
This is the Best Halal restaurant in Broome County. The food is always fresh, hot and tasty. The Lamb Tikka and Lamb chops are like butter. I recommend anyone who eats lamb to try it. You will not be disappointed!
The food is excellent. However, be aware that when they say 15 minutes or whatever time, the food is made fresh when you arrive regardless of when you called in, so do not be in a hurry.
I placed an order for the Big BBQ1 with extra meat through Grubhub+. Upon receiving my meal, I was delighted to find that it was exceptionally fresh and delicious. Each skewer of lamb, chicken, and kabab was perfectly cooked, showcasing the skillful preparation. The rice exuded a delightful Biryani aroma, adding to the overall experience. The salad was wonderfully fresh, and though the pita bread may have lacked perfect baking, every other item was a delight to the taste buds. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and appreciated the flavors presented in this culinary treat.
