Bar Halsey's reviews
9Being a dog owner, I typically only gravitate to restaurants that are dog friendly in the neighborhood. Halsey’s is a great place to eat, drink, and bring your pupper. Staff is super cool, and have dog bowls of water available for your fur baby. Food is awesome and so are the drinks!
Great place for brunch. I recommend their brunch burger, which comes with a sunny side egg on top and a Kentucky kiss drink, which had bourbon and strawberry. Nice spot to get good food curbside. I gotta go back!
Nice Irish pub with stools on the counter and tables and chairs separates for privacy. Tried margaritas and they were decent but the best of all was the bartender which has been working there since 1993.
Incredible place! The burger is to die for! Super juicy and flavorful and soo big you may even need a fork and knife great atmosphere definitely high energy with great service.
Halsey's is such an underrated treasure in Astoria. Great place for a low key hang out, drinks and food. I highly recommend the truffle fries and truffle devilled eggs! They also have amazing Korean-inspired wings and mac-and-cheese balls. Drinks were all around delicious, I had the Casino which was phenomenal. Shout out to Mario who made our experience extra great!
Love this place! Friendly staff, great food, liters of Radeberger for $12. Special shout-out to Jordan who has all the local info, thanks for welcoming me to the neighborhood and making feel at home.
Best bottomless deal I’ve seen in a long time. My friends loved their bloody Mary’s and I was a able to drink, bubbly no OJ (Prosecco) still on the bottomless deal.
Originally went to try Mom’s Kitchen and Bar where the wait time was too long so we decided to try Halsey’s next door. Turns out they are affiliated and share a kitchen which meant we have their menu as well. On Sundays seating is tough due to brunch but we got outdoors seating right away which was great. There are heaters and curtains to block out random people walking on the sidewalk which was great. I had the bottomless brunch and chose mimosas which were regular. The Mac and cheese balls, chicken and waffles and avocado toast were all delicious items. Actually I have to say you MUST try the chicken and waffles, the gravy is amazing and the chicken was perfectly seasoned. The waiter was very friendly and attentive and checked in with us regularly. If you are coming for brunch be prepared because the brunch menu is limited. We tried to get the cheese steak empanadas but was told they start serving that after 4pm. Overall, a wonderful, delicious restaurant in Astoria for traditional brunch dishes. I definitely recommend and will be visiting again just for the chicken and waffles, OMG.
