Halstead Quinn, Mt Kisco NY

I just moved back from California to the Westchester County area. Just a few!? !? Major problems I had this winter so far, running out of gas and oil, and the water heater tank becoming obsolete.
Halstead Quinn is the only reference I have, and which we have used through the years.
They have been on top of it.
When I ran out of propane they were here right before Christmas Eve, then the water heater, they also showed up on the same day.
Today I realized I also need oil, and they are helpful, available and they do show up.
I have great confidence on them, and I thank them for helping me deal with this new way of living in New York, Westchester County area.

Horrible service. Waiting for a quote since June. On my automatic delivery contract they’ve let my oil run out 5 times without so much as an apology - would not use this company if you paid me. That being said- the actual workers delivering the oil are kind and knowledgeable- it is the management that can’t get out of their own way

They are so organized and a pleasure to work with. Stacy in the office is so sweet. I feel I can call her with any questions and she will be able to get me an answer quickly and efficiently. They have been an amazing company, the best part of our move. And Marc S has been absolutely fantastic. Great price, great customer service. I have no skin in the game here, just like to mention when a company EXCEEDS expectations. HQ is responsive and pleasant. Use them.

I am very disappointed in this company.

I always pay my bill on time and I yet to get deliveries on time. I have to call and beg for the fuel I pay for.

My tank almost hits empty and propane smell fills my house which my small child has to endure because they can't explain why my deliveries aren't on time.

Called yesterday and I was supposed to have a delivery today. I only have two gallons left. I got home from work and there wasn't a delivery.

When I called again, I was told the delivery was rerouted for yet another day. No explanation why or how. How is this possible? Propane not only fuels my oven but also my hot water tank. I have a six yet old I have to cook for and bathe.

My experience with HQ Petroleum has been wonderful. I have had experience with several companies since 2010 but finally landed with HQ. They have been fair, courteous and reliable with deliveries and services. I am extremely satisfied with my experience and have referred them to others.

I would give 0 if I could! This is the worst company that I've ever done business with. They overfilled the tank, creating a very large spill in the basement. When the gentlemen came to clean the MAJOR spill, and I can't stress major enough (at least a few gallons), they argued that it was less than 1, despite heavy saturation and oil EVERYWHERE! The gentlemen then began screaming and cursing, demanding we not observe the cleanup process. What are you hiding? We should have called the police but dealt with the company and made sure this man with poor impulse control, an anger management problem, and clearly some mental health issues never returns to the property. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This is a cautionary tale and is not an isolated incident. They are completely incompetent and abusive to their customers. We used them for 5 years and there isn't anything kind to say about them, nor their business practices. Overall, their model seems to be based on deceit (that is another review altogether), abuse and unprofessional and disorderly/aggressive conduct. I am still shocked that this incident occurred and am sharing this story so that no one else has to experience behavior of this nature and magnitude.
