Hampton Inn Batavia reviews
6Not bad and mostly clean, the bathroom needed a bit of work though. Reception was a bit problematic. I arrived around 8pm to find a sign at the front saying they were assisting another guest and would be back shortly. I used the app to check in which was probably a smart move given that when I got out of the gym at around 930 that night the sign was still at the front with no one in sight. I understand things happen but if I hadn't had a smart phone I would have been out of luck.
Stay away from this hotel
They charged our credit card twice, we had to contact them multiple times for reimbursement. It took on month before everything was cleared up. Very unprofessional
Reception at front desk included no welcome and was complete with no eye contact.
At least a dozen broken/torn/filthy situations in the room.
If we had not been so tired, we would have moved to the Holiday Inn across the parking lot.
Finally, no one asked how was our stay. We are Silver Rewards folks…so no experts, but we have stayed in dozens of Hampton’s and this one is by far worst. Yes, we have photos.
On a positive note, our room was quiet. I’m guessing frequent visitors to the area already know to skip this property.
I’m sure this comment will be followed by some corporate apology and a promise for improvement.
Bottom line, Hilton is not holding this team accountable.
This hotel was pretty disappointing. We booked at $150 per night for two nights, and looked at other last minute options no more than 3 hours into our stay.
- There were stands of hair outlining the shower.
- When we arrived the front desk confirmed our card (we had already paid ahead of time) and later that night we were charged for the rooms again plus an additional $50. They immediately processed a refund but this should not happen to begin with.
- Good Lord the pool. I've been unlucky at hotels that have had their hot tubs shut down. We arrived to this hotel to discover their hot tub was closed. The front desk said "unfortunately it's closed until I can figure out the chemicals. " We came down from our room later that night to discover that the pool had ALSO been shut down. For the same reason. These are huge amenities, both closed. How do they put this on the employee vs hiring a pool company. Very disappointing.
- Our hall light flickerd like crazy and one of the bathroom bulbs was flickering in and out.
- Our tissues.were damp. At first I thought they were cool but they were definitely damp.
- There were two guests for two nights and we were given 1 towel.
- The elevator was sketchy. The sounds it made and sometimes odd slow movements as we reached a floor were not very comforting.
- Lastly, our bed. While comfortable you could have dropped a feather on our bed and it would creek. I mean just getting into the bed was annoying. The mattress and box spring are sitting on a clearly outdated wood frame.
One positive of this hotel was the fact that the lady who brought us extra towels was nice.
The only reason I didn't give this place one star was, despite the issues, it could have been worse.
Nice, clean rooms & conveniently located right off of I-90. Located close to all the amenities you should need as well.
