Go there but I have friends that go there I didn't stay there but I know the people in there are very pleasant very professional and people who go there have actual manners. It's the best hotel that you can possibly go to besides the other few other upscale hotels in this downtown area of the South end of Albany New York. Which is falling apart without these places it's probably be dumpier than it already is thank you for the Hampton inn for bringing up this low-scale place to a better place.

If I could give this place less than one star I would! I was at this location on the weekend for a concert that I have been waiting to see. There was an issue with my booking and I was dealing with someone by the name of Asia. Instead of trying to assist- she thought it would be best to laugh while I had no spot to stay for my vacation.

I will never give another cent to this hotel or this chain. I have never been treated more rudely.

My room/bed had numerous mature bed bugs. I was bitten 30 times and had an allergic reaction and needed to seek medical help. In addition, I had to do a bunch of stuff $$$ to prevent the bugs from entering my home as they travel well. I was refunded my stay but Hilton did nothing about my medical and other out of pocket expenses. Management never even apologized.

I would not advise a Sunday night stay, as there are no open restaurants, markets, or pizzerias within any walking distance of the hotel. While our room was large, it was not particularly clean, but the bathroom was very clean.

Had the best experience here. The staff were ALL wonderful. They went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. Nothing was too much trouble, from restaurant recommendations to room changes. Thank you so much!

I wanted to run upstairs to grab something and as I tried to explain that the valet guy working today at 2: 00pm was super rude! Little did he know my family spent lots of money here, not that is matter because he called his boss (which was Amy) and he was even nastier! All I wanted to know was why the valet takes ur keys when you park because Die to my job I am in and out of the hotel! Amy told me to park on the street and walk away from me, I felt very unwanted. You never know who your speaking to because I have successful blogs to actually put a public notice on the behavior of the staff here! Currently looking for other hotels to enjoy with my family because this one I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The front desk man was the rudest person I’ve ever spoken to in my life. He made me want to jump across the table and beat him up. No one should talk to another person like he talked to my mother and I. We told him that there were roaches as well as bed bugs in my room and my other family members room. He said they will have to do an investigation before they can refund my money or anything else. I have bed bug bites all over me. Also, the front desk man said they allow cats and dogs in the hotel which is so dirty! And people that have allergies to pets should not have to stay in a room where animals were before. We spent over 1k for rooms with this hotel, for a family wedding. Over 160 of my family members stayed at this hotel and we will never ever come back here! Horrible service horrible hotel. I’m a gold member for Hilton and I promise I will never come back to a Hilton hotel.

We ended up here for the second night of our two night trip to Albany. Our first night of our trip was straight out of a nightmare, could not make it up.
We ended up arriving to the Hampton Inn in downtown soaking wet through all our clothes and belongings due to a down pour that hit as we were walking from street parking, and were greeted with a friendly smile from Ananda, who checked us in quickly and offered valet for our next trip, as well as confirmed where we could park in the area as well. She handed us ice cold waters, and the empathy and hospitality she showed us is invaluable after the first night we had.
Our room was SPOTLESS (coming from the owner of a professional house cleaning business). I was highly impressed with how clean and orderly our room was, how quickly we could check in and how helpful and kind all of the staff were to us. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a good nights rest and a comfortable place to salvage our mini vacation.
This is a real, genuine thank you to the people who work hard to make others fun time, enjoyable. These wonderful people work so hard so that my free time and hard earned money goes toward having a relaxing and enjoyable trip. We had sworn off staying in Albany again after the first night, as we frequent the Albany/Saratoga/Glens Falls area; but have now committed to continue to use Hampton Inn in Downtown due to the cleanliness, hospitality, and easy access to tons of delicious food, night life, and a quick jump to route 7!

Hotel location is good. Staff at the hotel is very nice and welcoming, Valet parking is super quick. Hotel is old but is well maintained. The room just need a little upgraded. Carpets looks so dirty and smells bad. And the bed we all love hotel’s beds that’s the best part of me staying at hoteles that mattress had a whole in the middle bed super uncomfortable and when I call downstairs some one was like o you only staying for 1 night. That was no the correct answer. I have the worst back pain for all time.

We stay here twice per year on our way up to the Adirondacks. Very clean, nice hotel and some good dinner spots walking distance from the hotel.
The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Recently, I made a booking mistake that could have cost me an extra night, and the assistant general manager quickly and kindly fixed the problem. Thank you and see you this Winter.

The MOST FRIENDLY array of staff members i have ever had the privilege to encounter in one place. The front desk staff, the housekeeping, the breakfast staff, and the attached restaurant as well! SO REFRESHING!

Very nice, clean hotel. The continental breakfast was very good. The staff that manned the breakfast area was excellent! Stayed her for Graduation weekend as it was only 3 or 4 blocks from MVP arena.

Excellent location in downtown Albany. Easy walking distance to attractions and restaurants. On sight, secure parking for our car. Hotel staff was wonderful! They helped change our reservation so we got our Hilton Honors rewards points. We would stay at this hotel again!

Overcharged my room and when I called the manager she didn’t even apologize. Even worse, I wasn’t able to get my money back until I disputed with my credit card company. The rooms smelled like mold and the breakfast was disappointing. I would never stay here again and would not recommend it. Stay somewhere else.

Overall positive experience with clean rooms, friendly staff, and good hot breakfast. Walking distance to 2 dog parks is a huge bonus. However, disappointed with the $8 daily parking rate and $75 pet fee. Also wish the rooms had microwaves but had no trouble using the common one in breakfast area on first floor.

Great lobby and fantastic service. Seems to be an older building, king rooms are small but clean. No microwave in my room for leftovers and just a small mini fridge but great view of downtown from the 10th floor.

Rooms are lackluster, clearly old, clearly maintained to the minimal acceptable state.

Cleaniness lacking, used condoms in room among stains and other issues.

Called service 3 times for new sheets, service returned once with only a fitted sheet regardless of further calls, took 3 hours just to receive that fitted sheet.

Parking needs far more signage, people just wait at the front expecting valet, when valet just does the lot in the back.

Got a room for a show at the palace.great room, great location.and great customer service.and can I just say, the continental breakfast was the best I've ever seen.it was more than expected in every way
