Hampton Inn White Plains/Tarrytown reviews
28 The rooms have bed bugs. I saw about four on the bed. They have no availability at this time. It's 1: 27am and I have nowhere to go. The
General Manager didn't seem like this was an issue that was a shock to him. He instead shrugged his shoulders and went about his duties. How the situation was handled with was extremely poor. My partner had his whole back bitten and his right arm by bed bugs and. This is horrible! This is a horrible was to celebrate LGBTQ pride. I will never recommend this hotel or any of its subordinates companies.
Bad smell, small room for the numbers of guest allowed, furnitures stinks and dirty room. The pool, wish not to be so negative, but hight price for this time of room.
This hotel is a disgrace; dirty, smelly broken furniture, cigarette butts covering the entryway, broken concrete steps, and an in-room heating unit were totally awful. I wouldn't recommend, nor stay in this hotel ever again.
Old and tired place. Room smelled of smoke. Whole place smelled of pot. Staff nice and very friendly.
If there was EVER a Hampton Inn that is in dire need of a makeover, you have found it and come on in! What a dump. Outside is gross. Inside is humid. Rooms are clean but wow outdated. This is not the place to stay.
Too many folks hanging out in lobby area without masks - rest of facility, accommodation's, and staff A+
GUARANTEED CLEAN… er … well Almost anyway. Caution Check your room or at least the bed. Hilton has made a big deal about their cleaning… Maybe it is staff shortages or just a good advertising Campaign… You know I travel a lot. Hilton used to be a quality brand. Imagine pulling back the sheets and finding someone's blood in the bed and you were the only one checked in… ps) called customer service to complain no one answered and I was hung up on twice.
Worst service ever! I mistakenly made a reservation there and when I immediately attempted to cancel it, was not allowed to. This hotel has lied and claimed that I checked in despite the fact that I have proof that I had gone to another hotel, and there was proof that I was turned away when I tried to check in earlier by mistake.
We weren't crazy about this place. The first sign you see at the entrance to the hotel is a notice about COVID-19 stating that wearing masks is a must. However, when we got to the check-in desk, no one was wearing a mask behind the counter. Also, it doesn't get any more basic than this hotel. There wasn't even a microwave in the room. There was a filter housing for the ice machine by the elevator but no actual filter in it. What's the point of having the infrastructure for filtering when it's not actually doing any filtering? We won't be staying here again.
I checked in 10/8 after I was settle ready to sleep I sew few bugs crawling on the walls and bed, when I looked closely they were BEDBUGSss! So nasty I took videos and pictures and went down to the lobby where they switched me to another room. The day after my friend decided to stay over the hotel where they assigned her the same room I was in with bedbugs! We definitely saw that they didn’t even bothered with the bed bugs they just cleaned and passed it to someone else.this so wronggg!
Housekeeping staff doesnt wear facemasks in hallways or elevators. Many have them hanging off their faces but don't care enough about keeping guests safe to pull them up when they are near guests.
The good: The staff is great; courteous and professional. The price point is right.
The bad: There is no denying that this place is old and worn. The rooms are cramped. The bathrooms are even more cramped. The room air conditioner doesn't dehumidify properly and makes the room cold and damp. Housekeeping do their best but this hotel is just too old and run down to have that clean and sparkling look.
In dire need of a complete remodeling.
Odd people coming in and out. You could smell weed in the hallways. I understand the pandemic situation but the pool was like is been sitting without any care for a year.
They didn't have a microwave in the room and had to ask several times about getting one. It took me asking several times before getting one. They didn't have enough towels in the room. Had to ask several times and then only brought one set.
Stayed multiple times in the last six months and always the same experience. Comfortable, clean rooms with more than enough space for our whole family to relax and get rest when in the area. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful whenever we need extra towels, pillows or anything else. The breakfast in the morning always has just what we need to start our day. Whether it's cereal or yogurt and fruit for the kids, a tasty waffle or fresh coffee, our day always starts off great here.
One elevator tends to not be in service making evenings slow getting to and from your room. Also two stoner locals are present at check in every night that will with no shame or descression "check you out" as their topic of discussion with beer in hand. If that's a deal breaker for you dunno but no harm otherwise
Felt deceptive as given a room with water that children that could not read open as soon as they entered the room. Cost me $5 for them. Should have told me at check in so that I could ensure they were open on my terms.
Went for an event for my college the food was good not sure if its from the hotel or outside though. The man at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful since we had to wait an hr before the public bus came.
We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton. Out room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very kind and helpful and I enjoyed her tales about Sleepy Hallow. We would stay there again.
Unable to recharge our EV here. Found two outlets near the parking lot; one busted and the other in the fire lane/drop-off lane. They were nice enough to lend us their extension cord, but it wasn't compatible with our charger, which requires a minimum of 20 amps.
