Unfortunately, had a terrible experience here last weekend. We went late in the afternoon and were the only people in the shop. The staff seemed to have no idea what was going on, they were consulting the on the wall menu to figure out what we ordered. Regardless, there were multiple problems with both orders when we brought them home. Finally, I don’t mind paying extra given the location of the shop, but my turkey wrap was made with Kraft singles. For a $17 turkey wrap, I would expect real cheese.

I don’t care about service at a place like this. The bagels are delicious and thats what I went in for. Thank you.

The bagels are good, but everytime i come here they make me wait for a Simple bagel toasted w CC. While i was there 3 ppl were assisted and got their orders way before i did and i was there first. They clearly pick and choose who gets fast servic and they are rude. I will not be giving my business to them anymore.

Best bagels ever! Being from New York City, I compare everything to H&H and Essa, once you try, hand rolled bagels, you become obsessed! Prices are reasonable I’m not sure why there are any complaints here because I find the prices to be much more Fair than New York City. The spreads are incredible and I am addicted to the chicken salad even though that sounds like the strangest thing to say!
I went to Rye hand rolled bagels prior to Covid, during Covid, and after Covid and found the staff to be unbelievably accommodating and very fast service. They have it down to a science to keep the line short. Recently I was staying in New York City, and the line at the competition was down the block over an hour long - that would never happen here.

These bagels are in a different league. They are quite simply the best including anything you can get in NYC.

It’s almost a bit sad - this inflationary environment has left businesses totally in the dark as to how operate.

Having recently moved to Rye, I got a tiny everything flagel with scallion cream cheese (a very, very modest spread that would make traditional NYC bagel shops ashamed) and got charged $6. The interaction with the woman ringing me up was the real sweetener on the deal — she asked if that was it and I said yes. Then she looked at my Bai water that was in my hand and asked if that was my own Bai and I looked at her and said…yes…I just brought that in myself. I’m thinking, did I not just tell you that the bagel was all I’m getting? Do you think I’m stealing your Bai water?

Owners, look at your revenues. Look at them compared to last year — does it show growth? Awesome. Break down how much of that growth is increased price vs.increased transactions. Is it all (or mostly all) coming from price? Price-driven revenue growth is the formula for most businesses eventually failing. It’s not healthy - and it’s like a drug that can be addictive and destructive. Eventually, you won’t be able to raise prices anymore and people have already developed different habits. They’ve decided to get bagels in bulk from the store and spread cream cheese themselves. They’ve started going to big, bad Starbucks who yes, has a scale advantage but also understands business well enough to be very thoughtful with price increases.

You want to make sure your transactions are increasing. Are more bagels being purchased year over year? How can you maximize that number without taking price?

Here’s some free (albeit unsolicited) advice. Lower your prices. Make a big stink about it. “We are fighting inflation”. Run ads with that messaging. Change your approach to prioritize getting more customers instead of getting more dollars. Your business will prosper or at least have a fighting chance to.

Favorite breakfast place! I definitely recommend if you go on the weekend to allot for extra time because there’s always a line. Staff is great and the bagels are just *chefs kiss*

Due to poor service, extremely overpriced mediocre food, poor attitude, and frequent incorrectly made food- have taken business to another shop. In a pinch locally decided to try again. Same issues. Even more expensive, even worse attitude, and food prepared incorrectly. The owner never get orders correct yet also never makes a mistake charging customers exorbitant prices. The lack of competition in Rye continues to drive this poor performance. Stop waiting in line for this nonsense and take business elsewhere.

I got an everything bagel toasted with butter, two of the 2oz bags of chips, a Bai bottle drink and a vitaminwater. Grand total$18.37. I know things have gotten more expensive but those prices are ridiculous. Never again

These bagels were very good. There is metered parking out front but it can be a challenge to find a spot if it is busy. I particularly like it when they make them toasted with schmear. This review has been approved and written solely by me. Thanks for your interest.

The bagels are good but almost $40 for a dozen bagels!? And then they also refused to slice them even though I bought a whole dozen and there wasn't a long line behind me. Honestly I can get better bagels in New York City for half the price

They charged me $17 for a flagel and the man behind the counter was very rude. It looks like a lot of people on Google have complained about the exact same things: that this place is ridiculously overpriced and the customer service is horrendous. I left thinking that I was going crazy and then went to Google and was validated to read that sadly, a lot of people have shelled out a lot of money to these people who treat them like garbage. Do me a favor and if you're going to buy average bagels, at least give your money to people who aren't going to yell at your, interrupt you or try to steal your hard-earned money. Seriously - go elsewhere!

Management at this place is awful, very rude not friendly at all. I asked once why doesn't anyone answer the phone he said we don't have anyone to do that, and we don't have to. Food is so so and over priced. I will never come back again.
