Hanoli Cakes, Queens NY

This is my second time having cake from this place but first time purchasing one. I did not get a custom cake, I just got a premade one from their fridge. At first I thought the price for the cake was ridiculous but it’s actually a lot of cake. So much that we had to give some away so it’s a fair price! The cake was fresh and beautifully done, my bday person was so happy with it. Compared to traditional Dominican cake, this one knocks it out the park. It was fresh, moist, great amount of filling, icing instead of that nasty fondant. My reason for 4/5 stars is because I didn’t like how lazy they were with putting my partners name on the cake, they gave me some excuse about having to rearrange things. I also didn’t like that they didn’t have boxes big enough to enclose the cake, kind of ghetto. Overall, great spot!

Lemme tell you. Between the amazing flavor, creative design, and staff friendliness it’s definitely a place you’d want to come back for when that sweet tooth strikes. Yum.

Amazing experience from the moment I walked into Hanoli Cakes to the wow factor moment of receiving my cake! I had a consultation with the owner and she patiently went through each step, covering each detail. Thank you for making my wedding day extra special and I am looking forward to ordering my future special occasion cakes with Hanoi Cakes!

Terrible customer service and the cake wasn’t even great. If I’m spending $500 on a cake i would hope for it to at least arrive on time. I was charged $50 for delivery. I asked for the cake to be delivered at 4pm…. It was not delivered until 7pm! When i called multiple times to ask for an ETA they did not care that the cake was 3 hours late, did not apologize, and basically told me it’ll get there when it gets there. I rented a venue for a certain amount of hours. So imagine all the pictures of my sons first birthday without a cake to display. By the time the cake arrived we had to cut it and immediately leave after. Based off the other reviews i can clearly tell they just care about taking your money. I regret giving them my business and wish i would’ve gave it to someone who actually deserves it.

I stop by to try enjoy a piece of cake, the cake was very hard and the taste was not that great, went back and asked why the cake was so hard and the the answer by the host was the garbage can was there….

I love the cakes and the cupcakes. I try different things everytime. Great flavor and fresh!

This review is strictly based of customer service. I called ahead of time and explained that I was looking for a custom cake however did not know how to put it into a design but have an idea. The person I spoke to told me to come in to the shop the next day and that we would sit together and come up with something. I arrived and first and foremost their was no greeting. The girl just stared at me. When I told her I wanted to order a cake she asked me for the picture. I explained I didn't have one but what I wanted. There was no help no customer service it was not welcoming. Then I had to press to have her ask who spoke to me as they had asked me to come in and promised to help. She then acted like she didnt say that and told me to look at pinterest put something together. I would have done this last night had I known. I traveled from 45 mins away to the store because I found them on Instagram. While I sat there trying find pictures no one attempted to help or even give us ideas seeing I had my 11 month old son being impateint. Finally we decided to just leave and as I walked out again nothing no help nothing. The store had no one. They just sat there. Needles to say I'll be taking my business elsewhere sometimes its best to stick to who you always go to. It's a shame because they have beautiful cakes but their customer service is not good. I don't know if they taste good as I never got to order.

Extremely disappointed and I’ve been wanting to try Thai spot forever! Customer service terrible she was super annoyed that I asked her to tell me the flavors as there is nothing that displays it. Then I asked for coffee she’s like well I can make you a cappuccino that’s about it. Then she rang me up and asked basically if she can keep my change or if I wanted it. Lastly the cake was almost frozen, the frosting was super hard like fondant and the cake and filling was tasteless. I am super disappointed and what a waste of money. I give it two stars for appearance

This is based solely on customer service and the information I was provided when I attempted to place an order for a custom cake for 10 persons. I was given the incorrect information when I contacted the store via phone regarding a cake that I saw on their IG page and the deadline for placing same. Had they shared pertinent details necessary for placing an order for a custom cake, I would have made arrangements to go in sooner. I arrived at the store after being informed that the deadline was a specific day and was told they would be unable to fulfill my order in time. While I do understand their reason for not being able to fulfill such, had I been given a more detailed explanation and informed that deadlines can change at any given time based on an influx of orders that may be received I would have left the store satisfied.

Presented a picture from Pinterest. The baker suggested making a few changes and I couldn’t be happier! My guests came back for seconds and cake was the best, moist and decadent cake I’ve had. I never leave reviews and my baby’s first birthday cake-I just HAD too! They executed PERFECTLY!
