Harbes is a nice farm to visit if you have young kids. There is no entrance fee which is great. There are play areas throughout. Not as big as other farms but nice. There is a corn maze which you pay to enter. Right now they also have a pumpkin patch where you can buy pumpkins and take hay rides. The prices for food are okay. Ear of roasted corn was $3.95. A cup of apple cider was around the same price. They also had a band which played Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nick's type music. They were pretty good. Overall, 2 hours of fun without breaking the bank.

If I could give Harbes Farm 0 stars I would, the staff is very discourteous, you pay general admission for apple picking at the main entrance, to shortly find out there after, that there is no apples on the trees to pick from and you are limited to two rows of apple trees to walk down, that had no apples hanging from the trees. The only available apples to “pick” were on the ground and were either rotten or moldy. I would not recommend this venue and I will not be attending any events that they will be hosting in the future.

First and last time visiting this farm. The lady who drives the hayride is very impolite and rude you need to teach her some manners to talk to costumers.

Was here with the family, the corn maze was a real ripoff. We noticed the hike in prices so we bought less than we would have. The pumpkins they had did not look appealing anyway so we didn’t buy any. Next year on our way out east I will just bypass this place. NEVER going back!

I have been going to Harbes since I was a kid, this year I went with my boyfriend on October 6th and the whole pumpkin patch was smushed. We left with pumpkins that we thought were the best, for them to rot less then a week later. Wasting a bunch of money and time to drive out there. I’m disgusted and disappointed in the quality of the pumpkins that have clearly went downhill. Never coming back, 18 years of coming here is now over.

Updated review, very disappointed this year! Corn maze was complete in under 5 mins and no pumpkins to pick. All pumpkins in the feild were rotten and full of bugs. Not to mentiopn the farmstand down the road had nice pumpkins for less per LBS by i think 20 cents. Been going there for about 4 years, not anymore

Went specifically for the corn maze. It was incredibly small and LAME for the cost of $9 per person! Roasted corn was mediocre, left quickly as the rest of the prices were very high! I do not recommend this place (anymore)!

Very, Very disappointed with my experience at Harbes. I usually do not like to write bad reviews because I understand this is someones business and it pays the bills but it is beyond ridiculous our experience at the farm. We went on Columbus Day, and were charged $14 a person to enter the grounds. Included in the $14 per person was a bag for apples. The bag was small enough to hold about 4 or maybe 5 apples. So the the 6 people in my family paid $84.00 for about 20 apples considering only half of us ended up picking the apples, the rest got frustrated and gave up. We entered the area to pick the apples and walked up and down about 5 or 6 rows with not one apple on a tree to pick. We then saw a family that had some apples and they directed us towards the ONE ROW of trees that we could pick apples from. How can this farm have the nerve to charge $14 per person to pick apples when there was literally one row to pick from. The food at the farm is ridiculously OVERPRICED. $4.00 for a hot dog, $4.00 for roasted corn, $2.72 for a bottle of water. $4.00 for a cup of cider? There are families there that are trying to have a nice experience doing the whole fall apple, pumpkin, outdoors thing and this experience was just horrible. Yes we did make the most of it but we will not be returning ever to this farm again. We didnt even dare pick pumpkins beause I can only imagine how expensive that would have been and didnt go to the corn maze; that costing $9.00 a person for a ten minute walk. Again I know people have to make a living BUT this is beyond ridiculous the prices you are charging people when they are trying to have a nice family day together.

I was very dissapointed this year. Not much to too everything was very over priced, the corn maze was very small and easy took me about 10 min to complete for 9$ a person. They used to have a better food variety but now they don’t. Gotta find a new farm to go too.

The reviews below are correct. The prices went up from last year and they also removed the option to enjoy the property and purchase items vs.pay for apple picking, etc or leave. All of the good apples were either on the ground or roped off in a different section. We noticed that the security team didn’t seem to mind people venturing in.

In general. I love the corn maze and apple picking experience here. The Jamesport Brewery (kid &dog friendly) and the Moonshine Trail are within a mile and both great.

So beyond disgusted with the audacity of the POS employee checking bags as you left from picking the SCARCE amount apples that were left. Getting accused of stealing apples when i wasn’t and then for him to make a comment because I have a MK bag saying “with your Michael Kors bag where do you people come from” meanwhile he started an argument with us. I’ve never been so disappointed with this place there were barely any apples and then to be falsely accused of stealing and then belittled and judged by an employee just is the icing on the cake for me. After driving over an hour here and then having the experience I had when I’ve been coming here for years. Well that employee has made this decision easy. I will never be returning here. Don’t advise going it’s overcrowded and you definitely aren’t getting what you paid for. The only apples left are the types nobody even eats. It’s not worth it.
