The front desk worker (old lady with long hair) is very rude, absolutely not a professional receptionist. It is better to hire a regular security than her. Why would the Assisting-living facility hire such person?

There are absolutely no kind words I can use to express how disgusted and horrified my family is with the negligent and cruel way my Aunt Linda was treated. Our family put our trust and faith into Harbor View to care for, look after and assist my Aunt and instead, their lack of following procedures, lack of basic medical knowledge and inability to notice or manage a patients needs practically destroyed her.
Having Marla, who is merely an admissions personnel, think she controls everything and everyone in that facility, PURPOSEFULLY deny my Aunt Linda's Doctor's orders, and completely undermine the severity of the situation, should be grounds for immediate termination. When my Aunt Linda was found unresponsive, they called her doctor's office and asked them what to do, instead of 911! Where in your employee handbook is that procedure? She's instructed to go to a hospital, you deny her, and 2 days later she's FOUND UNRESPONSIVE?
AGAIN, we trusted you. We expected you to provide the same level of care that us, her family would. Expected you to provide her with the attention and empathy that EVERYONE in that facility needs and deserves.
You completely failed, and caused my Aunt and her family FAR worse agony and suffering than she had before arriving at Harbor View. And quite frankly, any member of staff who replied to our reviews with such a crass and disrespectful, flat out LIES, of the events that truly transpired, is no professional at all. You should be ashamed of yourself.
If I could give this place a zero rating, I would. There is no way you can make up for almost killing someone. You're either inept to hold a place caring for people or you're negligent. Which, either way, you shouldn't have a place at an assisted care facility.

My grandmother is sick and in need. She was requested to be taken to the hospital on doctors orders and was denied this right by Marla Butbel, the admissions person. Marla personally dismissed the EMT to escort my grandmother to the hospital - EVEN THOUGH HER DOCTOR REQUESTED THIS FOR HER HEALTH AND NEED. Illegal activity and all because of a personal issue she has with the family. This is not only NEGLECT but a form of INJUSTICE. She should be ashamed of how she is conducting herself in this facility. DO NOT TRUST THIS PERSON!

My mother-in-law is in the hospital completely unresponsive and in critical condition thanks to Marla's interference when we tried to send her to the ER Tuesday, June 11th 2019. Officers and MD are aware of these events, as are our family and friends. Writing this in hopes that it doesn't happen to another family.

Completely livid at today's events. Marla completely went against doctor's orders and family concerns because of a personal bias she has with my mother-in-law's daughter, which she openly expressed while we were trying to remedy a situation and get my mother-in-law evaluated to ensure her condition did not worsen. This is not how an assisted living facility should operate. Families should be supported and staff should keep their personal feelings aside.

My mom lovingly calls Harbor View her home. Harbor View provides her with confidence to stay as active and mobile as possible. The daily activities provide her the stimulation to participate and interact with other residents. The social interaction rounds out her life at Harbor View and is very important.

My brother lived independently until a stroke in the summer of 2013 landed him in the hospital for a few days and in rehab for another month and a half. He regained most of his physical and cognitive abilities but not enough to resume living independently. He has lived at Harbor View Home for nearly six years now and it is home.

He values the ability to come and go as he pleases but can access help when he needs it. His hearing is impaired and the staff at Harbor View often help with making appointments on the phone for him. If he has a problem in his "apartment"-something breaks or the AC isn't working-he just calls the front desk and it gets fixed.

Two days before Passover, he was found unresponsive on the floor of his room. Jasmin Ginn, care manager at Harbor View, sat and talked to him while waiting for 911 to respond. Everyone at Harbor View helped in the days and weeks that followed to provide any assistance to Harvey and myself that was needed. When he came home to Harbor View from rehab, he was warmly greeted and went right back to his normal routine.

Everyone at Harbor View, from management to staff to nursing assistants to medication supervisor and (health) care manager, and the front desk greeters, are warm and supportive. They are currently undergoing renovations that will make life even easier for the residents. I am happy to give them a 5 star rating for their balance of independent living and assistive care when needed.

What a calm and easy move for my mom! Thorough and quick, this makes for less stress of my mom! The room is clean and the food was hot. Marla was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process! So glad we picked Harborview!

The truth is that my mother needed to go to the hospital as per her doctor, and Marla Bulbul interfered. There was no threatening. She is just trying to save face. What did happen was that Marla, in front of the police, my mom, and EMS, said she had a personal problem with my sister. It was so unprofessional that the police officer requested that she leave the room. Do NOT expect her to have the residents' best interest at heart at all.

My grandmother has been there for a little over a year due to Alzheimer's and Dementia, my sisters and I are very pleased with this place. She's doing great. The staff is very nice and they seem to care about my grandmother and the other residents. The communication is very good as well. The social worker always keeps in touch with us. So far, I have only compliments.

I love this place so much. My dad is so happy there. The dining staff treats my dad like a king. The nursing staff cares for my dad with all his medical needs. The administration team is excellent. I just want to tell all staff members at 3900 Shore Parkway, My family loves you all. Thank you for everything!

Great Place, Excellent staff. Very comfortable and nice accommodations. My grandpa is really enjoying his stay and is being treated amazingly.
Would highly recommend it for all your loved ones.

MOM 96 YEAR OLD MOM HAS BEEN LIVING AT HARBOR VIEW FOR THE LAST 4 YEARS, SHE HASNT BEEN MORE HAPPY IN YEARS, THE DIRECTOR MARLA HAS BEEN AN ANGEL FROM DAY ONE. SHE HAS MADE MOMS TRANSTION AMAZINGLY EASY, THE STAFF, AND AIDS GO BEYOND HER NEEDS TO HELP IN EVERYWAY, THE FOOD THE ACTIVITES, ENERTAINMENT IS AMAZING, THE ROOMS ARE SPOTLESS ALL HER NEEDS ARE WONDERFUL I CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOT EVERYONE INVOLED HAS BEEN AMAZING. WE ARE SO BLESSED THAT SHE IS SAFE AND HAPPY, GOD BLESS YOU ALL, BEST PLACE EVER. Great community. Caring, knowledgeable staff that goes the extra mile. Well managed, clean, and uplifting. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a safe and reliable place for their loved one.

Revised review simply because Iris, the nurses and aides are very hard working and provide great care for the residents.

Marla Butbul in charge of admissions will do just about anything to get a patient in including: falsification of documents, charging for services not rendered (by the thousands) and dare you question billing - she threatens with eviction to your sickly loved one. This is completely unethical and I’d advise anyone considering this place to look the other way if they want actual care without empty pockets.

This place has been a godsend for my mom. I continue to communicate with Marla and she has been nothing but helpful, genuinely cares about her residents and it shows. Anytime I call or come to visit, my mom is happy, and obviously well cared for by the staff. Any issues I have had, and there were very few, were addressed immediately and rectified just as quickly. I can with 100% confidence recommend Harborview Home for Adults to anyone looking for a safe and loving place for their loved ones. My mom had been a resident for a little over 2 years now and although there are changes with the management, the one thing that has remained the same is upper management cares deeply about their residents. Especially Marla whom I regularly communicate with and is always there to help.

I'm so glad we found this place for my aunt! The staff is helpful and courteous. The management is really caring and will go the extra mile for each resident. Ms. Marla really deserves a special mention for making the transition so pleasant. We are looking forward to the upcoming renovations this summer. A fresh new look with those ocean views will really be the icing on the cake)

Amazing people, was dealing with my elderly parent and was not able to manage and Marla patiently explained the process and was there throughout the entire process. Mom loves it there and I feel comfortable knowing she is in a caring place.
