We purchased some of our wedding outfits here and they turned out beautifully! The entire staff was super helpful and professional both in person and online. They were so accommodating, even when we asked for last min add ons. Would highly recommend Harleen Kaur for anyone looking for Indian or Indo Western outfits!

I had a custom jumpsuit made by Harleen Kaur and the experience was 10/10 on every level.
From the initial process of selecting the style, garment fittings to customize the piece to fit like a glove, to the timeliness of final production and overall service level and professionalism of the team, this was a top tier couturier experience.

I wore a customized Harleen Kaur jumpsuit to my wedding, and it is not an exaggeration to say it was the star of the show. When I first saw the fabric, I absolutely fell in love and ended up designing the rest of the wedding (flowers, rentals, paper goods) all around the colors. After we selected the jumpsuit, we ended up having Harleen and team design custom dresses for my sister, mom, and niece and nephew (our “flower kids”). Each piece was high-quality, beautifully detailed, and unique.

Harleen and her team were true partners throughout the entire wedding planning process. I was constantly impressed by their creativity, including in problem solving and how professional and upfront they were about all design decisions and costs throughout the process. Most of all, Harleen and her team are deeply empathetic and kind - through the ups and downs of wedding planning, Harleen and team were always patient with my many questions and thoughtful in their responses.

I needed a kurta last minute for an event the next day and HK delivered. I called them day of and learned they needed an appointment setup (which they did 3 hours later, TY for that). To setup the appointment it was $10, which then went towards credit for the purchase. I walked in and was welcomed by two very friendly associates. They let me browse around and take my time before bringing the kurtas I requested from the back. They also brought out a few more that were just as nice based on my preferences. I was able to try them on and loved one of them. I ended up purchasing that and the whole appointment from start to finish was 20 minutes. Many people loved the kurta I wore to the event, will definitely be coming here again!

She modified the silhouette of the Isabella dress in an effortless, seamless manner that would hide my birthmark on my back that I wasn’t comfortable exposing.

Harleen Kaur is amazing! I’ve ordered many outfits from her over the years. Her team is really easy to work with. I’ve gotten custom outfits, and communication/overall process is easy. All of her outfits are really well made, fabrics/designs are great, and they’re comfortable! I’ve worn her outfits to both western and Indian events, they’re so versatile and always get so many compliments!

A designer who knows how to bring beauty and quality to life! These fabrics are absolutely gorgeous and so versatile too! I wore this to a traditional Indian wedding but the pieces are easily paired with other tops or bottoms to a create a fun look for any spring/summer occasion)

Had a poor experience with the team at Harleen Kaur.
Excited by what we saw online, my wife and I travelled from a far to have her wedding outfits made. My wife tried on something in-store, had measurements taken and pinned by staff then and there.

After travelling home, we requested a quote to purchase, we agreed and paid in full.

A few weeks later, HK’s team asks my wife to take more measurements ourselves. We questioned why this was necessary as what we tried on in store fit almost perfect with some minor adjustments. HK told us that measurements and pinning taken by her team, on their in-store garment, were apparently “not sufficient.

Based on HK’s direction, we begrudgingly took measurements ourselves with virtual guidance from HK staff on two different occasions. We hoped, by fulfilling HK’s request for additional measurements, we would get the best fit - and reminded her, we’re not professionals to take measurements.

Fast forward a few months later, a few hundred dollars more from us for shipping insurance (suggested by HK), we received the outfits. One was a perfect fit, the other was way off, much larger in several locations on the garment.

Going back and forth via email with HK, we had a local tailor pin and provide a quote for alterations, $350 USD. We provided this info to HK, suggested a compromise, and they offered only $50USD towards the bill. We also offered to provide the tailors’s notes and pictures as back-up.

We really wanted to come away with a positive experience, but the process after we left the shop was mismanaged, unclear and not at all in the spirit of providing adequate customer service. In these situations, I believe more reputable brands would be willing to at minimum meet halfway on alteration costs.

Therefore, we cannot recommend shopping at Harleen Kaur.

I absolutely LOVE working with Harleen and her team! I’ve been a customer for many years and the service I have received with every order has been prompt and impeccable. Needed a last minute kurta pajama outfit for my husband for a friend’s wedding and immediately contacted Harleen Kaur. I explained what I wanted, the size, and had numerous questions. The staff was sincere, answered all of my questions and assured me that the outfit would arrive on time. Not only did the outfit arrive on time, but it was stunning and fit my husband perfectly. He received so many compliments at the wedding and one person even knew it was a Harleen Kaur piece probably because of the quality stitching and fit. I’m already in the process of ordering another kurta pajama set and looking forward to ordering more outfits for the whole family!

We had such a great experience shopping in the showroom! The staff was so nice and really helpful. We usually purchase online but we were in NYC and decided to stop by. We always get so many compliments on our matching family outfits! The prints and fabrics are so comfortable and unique. They’re also super quick to ship and can do rush orders since they produce in NY which is really convenient.

Harleen was AMAZING and the perfect partner to work with as we figured out how to bring my vision to life. She is not just creative, but also incredibly knowledgeable and has such a keen eye for detail. We couldn’t have been more thrilled with the final look.
