Harlem Tavern reviews
14It was horrible. It was my first and last time there. The drinks taste like sweet candy. No alcohol. I like to taste my drink but not have it to string. This was Kool aid
It's a nice looking restaurant. The staff are pleasant, efficient and competent. The food is good, you don't have to wait long for the meal to come. They do check your Covid card and Id if you want to enter without a mask.
Playa location however be mindful know what you want and be direct or they will Ghost you. If you want orders be seated instead of telling the women out front. The bar is where to go they bathroom is unisex and the feng sheui is playa.
Rarely have I been so disappointed while spending so much money. 10 dollars a shot for well vodka after having to argue with my server that I didnt specifically ordrr a much more expensive namebrand. 12 dollars for bland unseasoned macaroni and cheese w8th an extra two for "fried" onions limp and soggy piled on top. Calamari was chewy rubbery as well as bland and greasy. Could have been so much better for the CRAZY PRICE. Overall a couple rounds of drinks and 3 appetizers ran my group of 3 friends TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS WITHOUT EVEN ORDERING AN ENTREÉ. We will not be returning.
Outside seating, the drinks were a little watery. The pot of mussels in wine sauce were awesome though. I'd come back for those alone. Didn't really have time for anything else.
Music was loud the service was great the fish Po' Boy was doughy as the batter was not cooked through. However the french fries were overcooked and dry. Not the best meal
Large, covered outdoor seating area. Food was good. Nice tavern/sports bar atmosphere, with TVs in the outdoor area also.
Rose sangria was delicious, fish tacos, calamari, and wings ate great. Fries are a bit salty for my taste but other than that everything was good. Service was great as well
The tables were sticky, the service, food's taste, presentation, and portion were subpar. The venue itself is spacious and there is plenty of outside seating and flatscreen tvs. I was not impressed with the bar either.
FROM THE CEILING TO THE FLOOR, FROM THE WAITER TO THE DOOR, THE FOOD AND RESTAURANT STAFF WAS AMAZING!
This was my first time coming to Harlem Tavern and boy I will be coming back. Myself and my family came by today and had the best experience because of the manager Shaquile. Very out going, the way he spoke to the staff and even the way he spoke with all the other customers. When he came to our table he took his time to listen to us, played with the kids made jokes and he came by before we left and thank us for coming by, made us felt special. The food was great and customers service was perfect, music was perfect, but the manage definitely made our night!
It was an ehh experience when we arrived the hostess wasn't at the front we waited for about 10 mins before a lady walked up however she was getting something. We said excuse me to her but she never looked up. Another lady walked over and the original lady walked away. We asked if we could get a table for two the lady breathed deeply and rolled her eyes as if we were bothering her. She walked up to our table we said thank you she said mhmm. We sat at the table for about 20 minutes and a lady walked over and gave us water then she walked away. We sat for about another 15 hungry and Slightly agitated. We saw her walking and asked her to come over. She apologized said and said it was busy. My best ordered a burger and I ordered calamari both came back well under cooked. They replaced the burger I didn't ask for a replacement as I was ready to go. The waitress was nice she tried to be attentive as she had many tables. I more than likely won't go back.
It was a nice outing, great burgers (Turkey and Lamb) but the drinks were weak. We had the mimosa and a ciroc "wine. " We didn't care for it. Great atmosphere.
