Beautiful shop, simple but warm design. After all, we are in Soho. The choice of teas is quite wide (but not very vast, you are neither at Mariage Frères nor at the Palais des thés.) very nice is the fact that you can sit and drink a tea and they let you taste just one tea for free, at the counter, one of your choice, They do it correctly, you would appreciate everything as professionally done by a tea taster. The staff is quite knowledgeable, some are really bored by your asking for information or taking more than a minute to say what you want, but this is the the current behaviour of New York shop assistant, not just here: if you're slow they'll let you know, you're not in California). One thing is truly disgraceful: they don't have teapots, they really don't know what they are, they only have these horrible mugs. But, again, what do you want: the Americans started by throwing the tea into the sea

Yesterday, I paid a visit to Harney and Sons Fine Tea in SOHO. Maya helped me navigate the tea menu and explained each tasting to me. She also prepared my purchase with the utmost in professionalism. Never once did Maya make this new tea connoisseur feel inadequate in my knowledge. Ultimately, I brought home 5 new teas and a new tea mug to brew a perfect drink each time I choose to enjoy nature's gift.

Amazing experience. Was my first time buying tea and the staff was so helpful and knowledgeable when I went in today. The girls behind the counter were fantastic: they knew everything about teas and had recommendations for the specific tastes I sought.

The best teas in the city. They have a great variety for tea lovers. You can also purchase other products related to this industry.

If you’re looking for a spot to grab a variety of teas, this is the spot to go! They literally have so many options that it was hard to narrow down. There’s also a cafe inside in the back with limited seating!

This place is heaven for tea aficionados! Those who love Harney & Sons brand will be delighted by this spot. There are loose teas, bagged teas, even a counter where you can order drinks to stay. You can sample from a list of teas that will be made fresh for you ; first two are free and after that there is a $3 fee. Staff is patient and welcoming and the wonderful feeling you get from imbibing great tea is well worth the trip.

Floor to ceiling tea blends - enough to fit your moods and taste. I have my Harney faves, including Jasmine and Hot Cinnamon Spice. Both are usually available in supermarkets. This shop will sell the sachets in larger bags. And tins of loose or bagged blends perfect for sampling or gifting. There is a cafe in the back and a prominent tasting bar where you can request a complimentary steeped tea. Each additional tea sample is $3 after.

I love this place for tea shopping. I end up here every month for a restock of my favorites (Organic Jasmine, Peach, & Tropical Green) and also pick up a new variety. The staff move very quickly and are helpful as heck! I love popping into the back area to get a prepared tea to try something new

It is an experience, love the idea of tasting different teas and have a mini journey of flavors, didn’t like the “DesTEAnation” that much but I think it was worth the try!

You have to order and pay upfront, they Dont have that many seats and tables available but when I went it wasn’t crowdy at all (also we were at 28°C so maybe nobody wanted to drink hot tea)

Best selection of teas, a real favorite of mine. Teas are all very high quality and they will let you try them

I’ve just started drinking tea recently so decided to make my way over to Harney & Sons and had such a delightful experience! Great environment to sit down and have a nice cup of tea to yourself or with a friend. The young man behind the cafe counter Samuel was extremely kind and able to recommend me a tea I would never think to try based off its description and I ended up loving it. Will most definitely be back soon!

Best value afternoon tea! The flights are super fun and you get to try four teas. Cream tea (two scones per person with cream/jam) and two different flights cost less than $40 with tax!

Terrible cinnamon spice herbal tea! It taste like dead fish with a hint of cinnamon. Yuck! I’m so sad I bought a big loose bag! I do like the medium filter and that the delivery came fairly quickly, but the tea is a waste!

Ordered their teas online and they're wonderful! We live in Colorado so ordering online is easier.
