There is little or no doubt that this publisher is one of the finest. It is not hard to find the well known published author's and titles among their ranks, just limitless for their craft. I applaud them as I have indulged in many a good book published by HarperCollins, but there are many writers out there that are just as good, maybe even those undiscovered that may even supercede the listed few that have made their mark. My name is Roger Browning. I hope that you might remember me. I am a writer from a somewhat least believed part of the world and the least believed type of lifestyle that one might believe a writer could, or maybe even should possibly be. I am of an age that some might not believe a starting point, but I am neither old in standard of avoidance by most, unless you are in the youth and learning phase that I have seemed to be still enduring. Yes my name is Roger Browning and I am a writer. One writer that has spent the majority of his life doing just that, aside from running my own ranch or working for others in the same life. One that I was born into. You might ask yourself what value or interest could I apply to someone else? Maybe none, but maybe some and who knows maybe all. Yes I 'punch cows. ' I have always done so, but I am well traveled and well suited to absorb things and things sort of roll around in my mind. I have been a writer from Texas all of my writing life. I have been a rancher in Texas from the day I drew my first breath. I have endured much and dished out much more, yet at heart, I have always understood and wanted the power of the chosen word. I have written too many books, too many times. Yet I continue to write. For forty plus years I have been writing books, maybe one every couple of month's. I have shown them to no one and have thrown every one of them away. That is my way of keeping my mind fresh and uncluttered. I am a rancher who has lived his life mostly from the seat of a dusty pickup, where my studio suits me best. I have written several hundred, two to five hundred page novels, yet never once did anything with them, until one day. A small publisher came to my property where he was to hunt the wild hog for his freezer. He sat my bronco truck and I showed him what I was writing at the time. He studied it and asked for its finish, so I did. After sending him the rest of it, I sent him three more fresh writings within two months. He proofed out the one and did so the rest and published the one he seen first and now seems will do something with the rest. That few months changed me, as the reviews of the few rolled in. It boggled my mind and still does, at the likers of my written pages, but how do to get my work out there? It might be easier to get struck by lightning, or win the mega lotto than to find notice in the writers sea. I posted this to be seen I must admit, as it is my writings dream. My name is Roger Browning and I believe that it is my time to be seen. My name is Roger Browning and my novel is titled 'The Reckoning of Rance. ' A western not so much a western, but a modern to date ranching family's saga of trouble, desperation, such as life that some out there have and will endure, just maybe with a different hinge on the door, that's all. A dysfunctional story of inheritance, that seems to come to most of us on this earth, but a dysfunction earned and fought in this lay out of word accumulation. My review to HarperCollins is well given earlier on, but my challenge to HarperCollins is to read this book and believe me when I say that I have many more in me. For those out there that have read this, I appreciate so much that you did and for those who have read "The Reckoning of Rance, " I am so glad that you did. Be good out there to one another because that is all that we have and remember my name is Roger Browning and my book is known as 'The Reckoning of Rance. '

Glad to mention that we have many fiction treasures such as the "As the crows flies" by Jeffrey Archer (paperback) at the P library, a small lending library in Athens, Greece.

I attended Epic Reads Day at the HarperCollins offices. It was a fantastic experience! The office is lovely, and completely coated in books. It was a bibliophile's dream!
