Mediterranean Restaurant Hart's reviews
4 So, I took my girl out on a date here. The place was small but comfortable. Seats about 20-24 people. A good spot for a date night.
Felt it was pricey for what we got. We shared everything. The food was ok but honestly there just wasn't anything we tasted that we would have to come back for.
She ordered the perfect martini which was pretty good. I got the boulevardier then just a ginger beer. The Bourbon drink was okay but I enjoyed the ginger beer better plus it was less than half the price lol
We shared their:
anchovies on toast and butter
marinaded beets, grapefruit and horseradish
braised endive, mussels and hazelnut
Swordfish, creamy potatoes, fennel and salsa Verde
Poached pear, creme anglaise, pistachio and chocolate
Sadly, out of all of it.think our favorite thing was the anchovies on toast which was pretty pricey. So $14 for 2 crostinis with seasoned butter and anchovies. Ouch
I wasn't a fan of the beets dish, least favorite.
The mussels and endive dish was pretty good.
The swordfish dish was ok but upsetting that my favorite part was the potatoes and not the fish.
The dessert was ok but I wouldn't get it again.
The staff was great. Always available and quick to help, serve, clear. Just pricey for not liking most of it. For just the 2 of us we burned $160 plus tip. If I enjoyed the majority of the food, I think it would have been a good price point.feel like this was certainly more hype than anything else.
Came here with 1 other in summer '22 and had the clam toast, pork milanese, and lamb burger. The clam toast was a tasty appetizer, but the entrees were definitely the stars of the show.
The milanese seemed to be a little bland at first until we realized there was pesto hidden under it. All flavors together after that were spot on and delicious, and the pork was fried well and still so tender and juicy. The lamb burger with the anchovies and celery was amazing all together. The anchovies really add something perfect in flavor that I think other lamb burgers I've tried lack.
Grabbed a tin of mussels from Minnow as well. They were in escabeche and tasty straight from the can!
A little pricey for the neighborhood, but definitely worth it. The clam toast is the comfort food I never knew I needed. Very rich and complex flavor, but not heavy. Tuna crudo was also amazing, but heavy on the vinegar if that's not your thing. I'd order it again. I wasn't suuuuper excited by the wine choice, but I was into the cocktail menu. Really friendly staff and nice ambience.
