The park has a nice trail along side the Hudson River and at the end you get to a house with rock faces

Nice walking trail. Plenty of shade, the path was smooth and even, a good walk for all ability levels

Love the way haverstraw looks from 9w unfortunately the police presence and drug culture does not entertain suitable living conditions

Dont waste your time if you are expecting a "beach". No where to park a car, no access to transportation, and unless you're a mountain goat, no access. There are no concessions or public facilities of any kind.

Not so much of a hike as a walk, unless you take the deer trails (unmarked trails off of the main, relatively flat path) which I highly recommend - most lead down to driftwood-laden beaches with various ruins. Cool features on the nation path include a train that sometimes goes overhead, if you like trains, and other ruins that are cool, but not safe to explore (also some are filled with trash). One star missing cuz some of the things I like are probably the things that others would hate (like the train and the ruins)

Great place to fish, swim, barbeque, just chillax. Bring the kids family friendly. Good place to ride bikes along the trail.
