I’ve never been to Henry’s End before when visiting Brooklyn, but I very much hope I will again. The atmosphere was wonderful, clearly a restaurant and team loved by local regular visitors. The staff were great and the menu extensive. I had Veal Lemonese, which was superb, and Apple Cobbler, which was like a warm hug of a dish. All my colleagues were equally impressed with their dishes. Highly recommended.

I've eaten at Henry's End several times and the food is usually really good. But we just ate there for a Father's Day celebration and had an awful experience.

The salmon I ordered was soggy and uncooked. I notified the manager, who took the fish away and brought it back still soggy and uncooked. No one asked if the second attempt at the fish was better. And now I feel ill.

I'm guessing the fish was originally frozen and wasn't thawed properly before cooking it. The sides were cooked but the middle wasn't.

I didn't say anything about the second round of fish, and decided to eat my husband's fries instead. But then another waiter took the fries away even though they were still basically full. He took my son's fries away too, which he hadn't finished. Who takes fries away from a kid?

The negative review isn't for the food prep issues - that happens - but it's for how they handled it. No apology, they didn't fix the issue, they charged me for the inedible food, they took away my kid's food, I left hungry, and I got sick later.

Small but very nice with great service. Very relaxed vibe, not rushed at all theiugh the evening. Some uncommon unique selections to choose from, we had the Elk chops. The crab cakes, unkike the usual offered at other eating establishments, have a light crispness on the outside. After eating and a dessert enjoyed a cocktail. Outdoor seating in the front offers an classy outdoor feeling unlike many outdoor seating areas. Very happy that we chose to eat here.

A Brooklyn Heights institution that’s been in the neighborhood for many, many years (the original location was just down the street). A intimate and dark space. I recommend dining here for dinner for special occasions, as the menu options are rich and somewhat pricey. They also do an annual wild game event where unique meats like elk and bison are served. There’s more info on their website.

Unpretentious, small restaurant that delivers surprisingly good and inventive food. Portions are well sized as well; I left stuffed. Vegetarian and meat options. Food was tasty and "light" which is what I was looking for tonight (I got vegetarian options). Quick but unfussy service.

Deducting a star for outdoor seating that could definitely use some sprucing up. Interior features very tightly packed seating so come prepared but it's a nice atmosphere without loud music which makes it a lovely place to have a conversation.

Interior seating was completely full at 6: 00 pm on a cool, windy Saturday night.

Wasn't a huge fan, some of our dishes tasted bland. A highlight was the rabbit but not enough to come again. We were seated at the bar and the bartender was very sweet and kind. Got a little bit awkward when the manager was yelling at her in front of us.

Outrageously good food, helpful staff, nice atmosphere, at a moderate price by NY standards. I had grilled shrimp w/ curry sauce and two poached eggs over a bed of grits. Sounds a bit strange, but it was scrumptious. My friend had a generous serving of French Toast, also delish. Good coffee. Will definitely return.

The food and service was amazing. I cannot say enough about this place. It's there perfect place for a date off you really care about the person your dating. I was sorry the night had to end and I couldn't eat anymore.

Party of 8 for a birthday dinner. Food ranges from mediocre to a ‘medium rare’ steak served charred but completely raw. Clearly frozen and not thawed before grilling. No apology, nothing whatsoever comped. Avoid.

Came here New Year’s Eve for a nice meal and it did not disappoint. Restaurant was very intimate and homely with a perfect atmosphere. Had the set New Years menu which was very expensive but the food quality was brilliant, portions were perfect and we got a free glass of Prosecco too (mock tail was offered for under 21s)! Our waiter was the best we’ve ever had anywhere- so thoughtful, caring, funny and made our evening as perfect as he could. Don’t know his name but he was perfect (great tattoo on his arm). Water glasses were never empty which was awesome and service was just exceptional. If your tall it’s a bit cramped but it’s all so great it doesn’t really matter- a perfect night out.

Absolutely try the Wild Game menu if you're open to meat, and there are also some gems to try in the drink menu (1927 PX Sherry).

An incredibly special restaurant with wild game, great cocktails, and an overall huge menu. Kind service and great atmosphere as well.

Such a great hidden gem of a restaurant! One of a few spots that offers most of their menu as small plates or large portions, which allows you to try a bunch of items! We ordered the lobster penne, shrimp with sausage, rabbit tagliatelle, and the NY Strip with apple chutney. The lobster penne and steak with apple chutney were my top two, but everything was really delicious. They also started us with bread and olive oil - I could have eaten an entire loaf of the bread!

Also, my friend booked us for a table outside, but the weather was not the best when we went and they sat us at the bar without a problem. Would definitely go back to try out more items on the menu.

Wonderful experience! The game dinner was well-prepared and varied. The cocktail menu had lots of tempting offerings. The service was top-notch. I look forward to returning.

After a couple of decades of sharing dinners here with family and friends, i hadn’t visited their new location and found the food excellent…. Sous vide Duck breast and thigh moist and pink and citron sauced Sole ….
In both preparation and portions and service and ambiance all perfect for a relaxed evening meal with a friend.
